Plans to come to Hull for Christmas and take in a few games including the Sunderland match have been scuppered by my wife having a hip replacement operation later this week. She was intending to delay the operation until I returned in mid-January but after medical advice she has opted for the earlier date.

The planned visit was also to include my sister's 50th Wedding Anniversary function in early January. My wife opted out of coming with me as she will not leave our cats for that long.

Any of you going to the Tavern pre game? I'll expect you all in full voice enjoying your(s**t) Pre match beer.

By the way, If you fancy drinking cans of decent booze instead of buying the s**t beer from pubs around the ground you can get away with it outside the Tavern. You can see the Tavern from where your buses park. <ok>

Be sure to check out the Sunderland Match thread for the link for visiting fans. Here it is if you fancy a butchers now.

For home games, do you end up stuck waiting at the daft gate thing, or do you go right round the ground the other way?

Car picks me up in West park Dutch so I don't have to wait at gate ..

It's a bastard to walk to car but I just majke it .

I'm fine at standing up , my right leg just doesn't work so good walking wise .

Side effects of the treatment I had BUT I AM ALWAYS FINE.

    Very much so.

    Thanks .

Good to hear Filey. I'm aware of a couple of people finding the walk round a bit of a negative, so I'm always keen to hear how positive types like you can turn them into positives. <ok>
