Dunno if posted elsewhere, but definately worth it's own thread. 10 goals...pick a winner. I don't think there's another side in the country that will have a better set of 10 to choose from. Sensational.
That was my pick as well....I thought "goal of of the season" soon as he scored it. Ours is a better 10 goals to choose from than the shortlist of 10 the EFL put out.....which included none of ours.
2 goals missing from that. How can our 4th at home to Hull City not be on there? Iirc it was 16 passes aswell and would have been number 2 on my list. Also was it the 3rd away to Wigan when we took the complete piss with our passing and it deflected in...
Deffo Clarke vs Reading. You’ll be hard pushed to find a better goal in world football than that this season.
That’s a belting collection Snaggey - yet Clarke’s v Reading stands out amongst them. Roberts’ equaliser v Watford was a special goal and moment as was Cirkin’s winner v West Brom. Neil had some great assists and Pritchard’s for Amad v Luton makes me smile. I forgot about Embleton’s role in some of the goals. He’s a talented lad and another with a great football brain.
Great watch lots of blistering cross shots, tricks and passing movements, and pleased to see Embo in there, he still has a role to play imo., strangely no headed goals or goals from any of our central strikers, Stewart , Simms or Joffy , heartening in some ways as it indicates we should be able to replace any of them if we can retain the current set up including having Tony in charge next season, and somehow deal with Amads departure, and even that may not be nailed on according to some . Cant wait for next season tbh.
Just the other day i watched, several times over, Pritch set up Amad. He rolls the ball so nonchalantly with hands on hips, but then doesn't bother moving to join any potential play, just keeps hands on hips as if he's saying'' no point moving I know he's putting this in the net''.
Cracking goals there. What I liked about all of them is that there was nothing any defence could have done about them. Very enjoyable watch and glad to see that free kick against Luton in it as I watched that one on TV live. But, to my mind, one goal was an absolute masterclass in transmission from defence to the back of the net. I do love love those. It was the Clarke goal against Reading. 7 passes from defence to Clarke and GOAL!
Imagine taking Clarke's goal vs Reading out.....so there was only 9, and show them to someone who's never even them. After they've watched them a few times say oh, hang on....there's a better one.
