Maybe they should be back on the bench - or even on the pitch...

    Aston Villa U23 2-3 Sunderland U23
Will Harris’ second hat-trick of the season in the space of 10 second-half minutes helped secure a remarkable victory for Sunderland Under-23s against Aston Villa at Bodymoor Heath.

Great thread again RTB - thank you. It really does set up a tremendous look forward to the weekend.

I think we will win. I think it will be tight. I think it will be 1-0 or 2-1.

And that's after the first 10 minutes. For the next 80 minutes its a riot.

    6 -1 guaranteed

I'd have to say, for any Charlton people looking in, we mean no disrespect.

It's just that we're starting to see what this team is capable of ...

... not for 90 minutes, in every game, but more and more often.

We're now expecting to turn up, respect the opposition and fight for the right to play our football.

Failing inept referees, and monsoons, we now believe we can beat anyone.

It's a great feeling but we never know who'll score the next goal.

    No disrespect taken.

We have some similar feelings.... we know we can't play good football for 90 minutes either but we're hoping that with JJ in charge we'll now manage more than 15 minutes per game

We also don't know who will score our next goal, but probably not for the same reasons that you don't :emoticon-0106-cryin

    From safc.com
Sunderland AFC is delighted to announce RoRack Shipping Ltd. as the club’s new back-of-shirt sponsor.

The seasonal partnership will run until the end of the 2021-22 campaign, with RoRack’s logo to appear on the famous red and white stripes from today’s game against Charlton Athletic.

Established in 2017, the global specialists in RoRo and Flatrack logistics are based in Sunderland and boast a team with over 25 years experience within vehicle shipping and from a manufacturer through to freight forwarding viewpoint.

Offering a dedicated service for clients shipping vehicles around the world via Roll on Roll, Flatrack and containerised services, Rorack are the only UK-based company to offer their very own Flatrack service for trucks from Felixstowe into East Africa.

SAFC’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve Davison, said: “We are delighted to welcome RoRack to Sunderland AFC ahead of what we hope to be a strong and lasting partnership. Reconnecting with the City of Sunderland is a key part of our project and that can only be achieved by working closely with local businesses like Rorack, who have established themselves on a national and global stage.”

Tim Finley, Managing Director of RoRack Shipping Ltd, added: “It’s a huge privilege for our business to begin a partnership with Sunderland AFC. Having been an SAFC fan all of my life, the chance to now see our company logo on shirts – in what is hopefully a promotion season – is a fantastic opportunity. We look forward to working together to build our relationship with the club and its supporters.”

    Cheers Smug,
There certainly are a lot that do the trips on a regular basis and many travelling the length and breadth of the country. I’m only in Lincolnshire so it’s only 2.5 hours each way.

That's great news and shows how much work is going on at the club.

This is just the kind of company we should be involved with, not betting firms etc, and RoRack are both local and international.

Must be great for the people who work for the company especially the MD who's a lifelong supporter.

I love what's happening to our club.

I was at Gillingham and one of the lads, Wakey from Hastings, had organised a private table in a 'pub' for us.

It turned out to be upstairs at the local Conservative Club so we had a relatively quiet place right next to the ground.
(He's done the same for QPR, The Sindercombe Social Club.)

There were lads there from Exeter, Bristol, London, Berkshire, etc etc and not one from the NE. At the ground I bumped into people I knew from Nottingham, Doncaster, Kent, etc etc. It was the same at Crewe. As you say there's loads who do the trips and you often see cars driving north up the motorways.
No one wants praise, they just get on with the supporting the Lads.
