Missed out on this, ticket stingy bastards. Their loss, Middlesbrough’s gain. City 3-0 Geordie Villagers
Sun’lan to win by the odd goal. Or nothing to happen & 0-0 or 1-1. I don’t see us winning this one, however, it’s away from home, they’re going to come at us & not sit back, so should suit our style a bit more.
Another dead-rubber type of match, Sunderland 7 pts off the final 2 play-off spots, City needing 3 pts to get past the magical 50 pts barrier which would pretty much ensure their Championship berth for next season. City have a few players returning from injury and no recognised striker up front - I cannot see Connolly starting for us after his lay off, also another bloody Sky game. I expect another bout of 'typical city syndrome' - Mackems to win 2-0.
Sorry, I mis-read OLM's injury thread update, I can't even see Connolly making it back for the Easter Monday visit of Millwall.
1-1 City take the lead and play some nice football without killing the game off. Sunlan equalize. Full time.
Shoddy work, Chazz. Sunderland AFC v Hull City AFC. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Considering thousands of us are Geordies, if that was supposed to mock us, it didn’t. Geordies are awesome!
Memory provoking match for me.I'd lost my Mother in the early hours of the morning that day and didn't know what to do with myself. I sometimes question myself whether it was right or wrong to watch a game of Football in such circumstances but the answer is simple. The old girl was Yorkshire and proud and she used to go to Boothferry back in the day to watch the great Raich Carter...She never shut up about him!! Brilliant City performance that day that will never be erased from my memories.
