But you didn't, or the net ...

.... you started wasting time after the break and thought you could hold on for a point.

Not exactly the brave new Ipswich you're trying to make out tbh.

It was a **** show. Where you played better but couldn’t score against a team who’s defence has been utterly garbage for weeks. And you then come onto our board acting like someone ran over your puppy on purpose. You’re a bad loser. End of. As I say, one of the worst we’ve had on here.

for the corners we had, you never put a man on the post so that argument is complete bullshit. Had you had a man on the post, we may have used a different corner routine and the person that man was marking may have scored. Do “Einstein”, you think, fir the one corner we scored from, you should’ve had a man on the post and completely changed your set up? But, of course, you only think that because we scored. Easy with Hindsight.
You also said our slide would’ve continued had you had that man on the post. Well what if the ref gave the he first half he should have? Also, our slide was because of losing, a draw would’ve been seen as a decent result against a firm team, again making that argument also bullshit.

so, in conclusion, you’re full of bullshit?

With 80 minutes of the clock LJ was very animated on the touch line. He was really trying to lift the players. I’ve never seen him like that before, looked like a bloke who knew he desperately needed a result.

Ipswich's approach play was good but that counts for nothing.

They'll struggle with that keeper, he's a bag of nerves and we didn't test him enough.

We'll settle now and get back to playing good football, loads one flicks and one-twos just failed to come off which made our passing look poor. Once they start to click again we'll be fine.

Ipswich seemed to think possession and playing across the back makes them a good team.

We've played better teams this season.

Absolute beanpole with terrible distribution. I was shocked this morning to find out he’s only 26. Looked 33+ to me.

I’m pretty sure if we had men on the post Sunderland wouldn’t have bothered us off corners whether we played man to man, zonal or the other 8 of our players were in the dressing room.

Decent shot stopper (not that you’d have seen that) and good on crosses for the most part. But absolutely abysmal distribution.

It’s really hurting, isn’t it? Chin up lad. Who knows, you’s may go on a miracle run and sneak into the play-offs…

A single point above Cheltenham Town (the worst team to have visited Sunderland in many a year) <laugh><laugh>

    He's like a fly in a conservatory <laugh>

Their big day out and they had to trudge home thinking about what might have been.

…Going on as if they turned up here and played us off the park. The biggest meh performance I’ve seen from a team in L1.

He's the new Brendan Rodgers <laugh>

    Nov 2014
“It is great for the public here at Sunderland to see us,” said Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers. “They must have been wondering what this team everyone is talking about are all about and now they have seen. We were wonderful."

    They lost 2-0 <laugh>

Agree. Ipswich were very pedestrian and lacked a bit of ambition. We were poor for the majority of the game but that was due to (IMHO) a lack of confidence. There was only one team trying to win it in the last 20

Been a long time since they beat us. Maybe their fans are starting a phony war to mask their own frustration and short comings. Think Portsmouth 2019

Remember it well, 2 great strikes for our goals left Brendan very bitter.

Early on in the 1st half also, when we were riding our luck and Thor Hoffman was pulling of some great saves. He was booked in the 1st half?

I had no idea football was so simple. Put a man on the post and win literally every game.
