The crowd are really a 12th man for Sunderland today. Making all the decisions hard for the ref, I wish our fans where more like that..

We've got plenty of fans hence the 40,000 odd on the season ticket waiting list. However the Emirates is full of corporate ticket holders and the real fans are getting priced out.

 

Arteta is worse then Cesc at those direct free kicks, and that is saying something.

 

Pretty awful half of football. No ideas from Arsenal. Need to step it up in the second half - seems like a typical reaction from the team after taking some of the pressure off last week.

 

Pretty dull stuff. Sunderland have parked the bus and an Arsenal team with Fabregas would struggle let alone this team. A point might have to do.

 

The other problem is that we still have alot of 'plastics' who latched on to the club back back when we were regularly winning the league.

Liverpool no longer have that problem seeing as its been nearly THREE decades.

The good part is that the Toffees seem to be doing us a favour against Chelsea so far ... and Liverpool already lost ... so if we only take a point from this game it won't be too bad.

I think every top club is struggling against Sunderland right now. If MON knows one thing, it's how to park the bus against a superior opponent.

 

Walcott has been disappointing again - no space and cant do a thing. Not quite the same as the Blackburn defence.

He should be taken off and the formation should be switched - RVP needs more support.

 

Decent enough first half for me, can't see why the sunderland problems have got a problem with the ref, I think he got it all just about right. Maybe even the RVP was the only one he got wrong, looked like a trip to me - pen.

I think we've got enough in us to win this game. We just need to stick to our game plan, concentrate defensively. Over a third of the game in the first half was played in and around the Sunderland box. I think we'll create chances in the 2nd half and hopefully we can convert a couple of them.
