Going back to my post on the what you doing thread, was wondering who you'd have as a super group. Besides being an amazing lyricist and singer, Prince played pretty much all the instruments on his records and was a stunning lead guitarist so he's in. Mine would be; Prince - guitar, keyboard, genius and singer. Johnny Marr - lead guitar. Josh Homme - rhythm guitar and vocalist. Bruce Foxton - Bass. Alan Wren - Drums. Special mention to Dave Grohl and Matt Helders on drums but Reni just gets it.
Always felt Adam Clayton has been underrated in his bass playing ... but then when you have Bono and The Edge in tandem it is probably not surprising .... Gilmour should get a mention ... Comfortably Numb solo is right up there ...
Gregory Issacs and/or Alton Ellis on Lyrics. Junior Marvin on lead guitar. Some random black dude hitting a bongo. ****s on fyah.
Super Band Lead Yodeller - Frank Lanz Ukelele - Victoria Vox Washtub - Fritz Richmond Accordian - Zachary Richards Mandolin - Kerri Ough Steel Drum - Andy Narrell
I ve always been a massive Prince fan , compounded with his death it seems as his is the only music I seem to play when I'm driving along pretending I'm in a little red corvette. Always been a huge Hendrix fan on guitar n. On bass and drums , sorry , my two sons .,
Nearly said Geddy Lee. Was him, Bruce Foxton or Kim Deal. I'm changing to Kim Deal, bird on a bass with lovely backing voice.
