Great attitude and personality on the pitch. Cool kid. Loves to play football and does it with a smile. We could do with more of his type. He's been quite crucial in us being pretty much safe
I think there should be a massive smear campaign against Willock, just say he's **** and a waste of space The Arsenal board dont actually watch footy, will believe every word and sack him off for cheap
Annoyingly he can't play vs arsenal, so bruce will throw him under the bus vs City and then when we lose he'll drop him again
A n adopted Geordie. He gets shola like status as being a mackem slayer. Willock is the ESL slayer. ****ing love his attitude and smile. If we can get him back next season he’s gonna be loved. If only fans could be in the stadium to show our appreciation. But if he says maggies in his Twitter post he’s finished.
Yeah we have - remember when we were losing to Stevenage in the FA Cup, and Pardew had the bright idea to bring on Phil Airey to save us from one of the most embarrassing results in our history.
If he costs £20m then Ashley etc just needs to work on the basis that his recent goals have most likely made the club £100+m for next season as we'll still be in the PL
I like him. Exactly the type of young modern player we will need to move away from turgid football. 20m? Bargain. Was over the moon when he signed and pleased with what he has produced. Arsenal have some exciting young players with him, Smith Rowe, Saka etc. If there is a chance to nick any of them including Willock, we should be all over it. I dare he has alerted plenty other clubs. I suppose we have to give Bruce credit who targeted him and Idrissa Gueye. At least he recognised our central midfield was ****. Still picks Shelvey every week though...
I think it was Choudhury or Gueye as the holding midfielder, Willock as the attacking midfielder. I think Choudhury was second choice to Gueye. Not sure why he imagined Gueye would leave PSG fringes for a relegation battle with us mind. Choudhury looked pretty useful when he came on the scene, he clearly has a discipline problem however. He can't be that bad though, he has played about 50 times over the last two seasons in the league and europe for the team who finished 5th and are currently 3rd. He would be good enough for us I would imagine.
I thought it was telling that he ran straight to Bruce after scoring and they both looked genuinely delighted for each other. Even though Bruce has kept him on the bench of late. I know it's easy to see managers in black and white terms (we are the Toon after all) but really made me think that Bruce does have his good points as a coach.
