Swans introduce gender-neutral prefix Club Thu 23 Nov 2017, 4:00PM please log in to view this image Swansea City and Bournemouth will be the first Premier League clubs to offer their transgender and non-binary supporters a gender-neutral title prefix. Coinciding with Saturday’s designated LGBT fixture, the Swans and opponents Bournemouth are pleased to be able to offer supporters the option of using the ‘Mx’ title, should they not wish to be identified by traditional gender categories. The ‘Mx’ title, which is pronounced ‘Mix’ or ‘Mux’, is available for all transgender and intersex people, as well as people who don’t identify with one particular gender or don’t want to be identified as being male or female. “As a club, we’re continually looking at ways to make our services more inclusive,” said the Swans' equality and diversity manager Lucy Norman. “Language plays a really important part in delivering this and ensuring that everyone feels welcome – regardless of age, gender or gender identity, sexuality or ethnicity.” Bournemouth general manager Liz Finney added: “We’re pleased to have been able to work with Swansea City on realising this goal and making football a more inclusive environment to be enjoyed by everyone.” The ‘Mx’ title will be rolled out across all major points of service with the Swans, including ticket and merchandise purchases, enabling new customers to opt for their preference. Alternatively, for those wishing to change an existing account to the ‘Mx’ prefix, supporters can do so by simply visiting the ticket office or by calling on 08448 156 665. For more information about Swansea City’s long-term equality objectives, supporters can view the club’s Equality Action Plan covering 2017–2020 available HERE
Some schools are now being advised not to call their pupils boys and girls anymore... If I get instructed to do so it will be the day I leave the profession.
This is a football match for both sets of supporters and not a public statement for Gay pride They push their crap at every possibility as if they are something special......
How much time and money is wasted on nonsense like this. Got a penis ? You're a male. Got a Vagina ? you're female.
What if you've one of each , it does happen, although how many attend the stadium only they know unless of course there's a multi sex bog some in a corner of the ground some where and if not then why not I hear you cry
Whether you're male or female you are supporters......Straight or gay it does not matter it has nothing to do with supporting your club.....
Already got a name mate "Hermaphrodite" but the odd lot don't seem to recognise them because they are real and not wannabe's
Apparently we should only pick host nations for the World Cup if they are LGBT friendly (according to 2 guests on 5 Live).
