please log in to view this image Swansea City v Leeds Utd Sunday 12th July at 13.30pm | Liberty Stadium Leeds make the 275 mile trip to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday lunchtime hoping they can replicate the form of midweek. The Whites currently sit top of the Championship, a point clear of the Baggies and six points clear of Brentford. The Bee's significant goal difference means Bielsa's men need seven points from their remaining four games to win Promotion back to the Premiership after sixteen years of hurt. Bielsa will be hoping that Leeds trip to Wales will be more rewarding than their last. A fortnight ago, the Whites were the visitors to Swansea's bitter rivals Cardiff City. where they lost, even though they dominated for large periods of the game. Back to back victories for the Swans against Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham have lifted Steve Cooper's men within a point of sixth place Cardiff City. With the Bluebirds facing a tricky tie at Fulham on Friday evening, Swansea will be desperate to get something out of Sundays game to boost their play off hopes. Bielsa must decide whether to stick to the same starting XI that destroyed Stoke City midweek, or bring in some new faces to keep the squad fresh. Pablo Hernandez faces his old team whilst Leeds face former loanee Matt Grimes and last Summer targets Rhian Brewster and Freddie Woodman who are on loan at the Liberty Stadium from Liverpool and Newcastle respectively. There are no no new injury worries for the Whites whilst Swansea will once again be without Ben Wilmot and Joe Rodon, although Jordon Garrick is available again after serving a three-match suspension.
Hopefully Brentford will have dropped their first points since the restart the day before, I want the win, I can’t be going into the final 2 games needing a win.
Hi all, thanks for keeping the conversation going for the past few months. It's been interesting reading the comments and opinions. I'll be honest, I thought after the Luton draw, that we were going to collapse again this season but after the performance against Stoke I'm a believer again. I'm not counting any chickens because I think Brentford and West Brom will finish strongly. If only football was played on paper we'd be up, two home games against struggling teams so we just need a point from Derby or Swansea. We know that's not how it works, especially since the mighty Brentford struggled to beat Charlton. I hope Derby can get something from Brentford but I'd much prefer us to do it the easy way (won't happen) This time last year we were one point better off and 3 points clear of Sheff Utd but, we only got one more point so fell away. Please let's smash Swansea and put this to bed early! Please.
Pinched from the Brentford board. They have a supercomputer (?) working out the odds. This is for auto promotion from this midweek with last weekend in brackets: Chances Leeds: 94.3% (90.0%) WBA: 89.8% (83.3%) Brentford: 15.0% (24.8%) Fulham: 0.9% (1.1%) Everyone else <0.0000001% It reckons that 87 points has about a 90% chance of promotion.
Fulham playing well and 2-0 up against Cardiff. That should move then within 5 points of us and 4 of WBA. Still all to play for and this is the Championship remember.
According to my research we haven't won away at Swansea since 1964, the year we were promoted as Champions of the second tier.
Swansea are desperate for 3pts so they will have to attack, just hope we carry on from the demolition of Stoke, be patient and take our chances when they come.
Morning all.Sad news about big Jack he was a great competitor as the whole team were.Billy will have the dominoes out. I thought before the break we were looking unbeatable, judging from the display against Stoke we are finding that form again.Swansea are a decent team but we are looking as if we can score from anywhere. Do it for Jack and the team lads. good luck.
Brentford have scored after three minutes. Derby do not look interested and they had three defenders to two from brentford. Two of them never tried to cover the shot and the rebound was tapped in by watkins. Derby are shyte and we will thrash them.
They’ll up their game against us to try to upset the Leeds bandwagon. How else can they hope to amount to anything?
Number 4 is a bit of a dog. Can you see anyone you know. https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...united-fan-crowdies-place-elland-road-2910696
