Welcome to the Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Happy Clappy, Super Positive, Un-necessarily Negative Posts will get some Stick, And I would Walk 500 miles, Charlie, Charlie, Score A Goal for Me, We Love You Really Tiggermaster so take a share in this thread (though I fear you have threatened my clean sheet record), Match Thread

Saints travel all the way to the end of the country to visit the valleys and singing souls of Swansea and our first encounter under their new Head Coach Francesco Guidolin. I like the Swans. Fans seem lovely people and I have always liked how they go about doing things, even back to John Toshack's days, us signing Alan Curtis and even good old Tommy Hutchinon playing for them aged 43!! I think he played in the game that kept them in the old division 4 all those years ago. I won't be feeling so kind towards them this weekend when we continue our march. We March On.

    Match Appointments
Referee: Jonathan Moss Assistants: S Long, L Betts Fourth Official: K A Woolmer
Shane looks to be working the line again

The Swans currently sit 16th in the Premier league on 27 points, a full decade of points behind the mighty Saints.

League Form last five games (or as the pundits will soon be calling it: The Fats Form

    )

    Saints
Watford (home) won 2-0, but should have been 5 :)
West Brom (home) won 3-0, but should have been 5
Man United (away) won 1-0 (AGAIN), easy performance where we managed to throttle back just enough so that Charlie boy could come of the bench and be the hero. :emoticon-0140-rofl:
Arsenal (away) drew 0-0, The Arsne Whingers got a jammy point thanks to Shane Long's back heel when through on goal. Fraser will be hoping for a little more action this week

West Ham (home) won 1-0, a comfortable stroll in a gentle Hampshire breeze only briefly interrupted by Vic causing a storm of bubbles, but they soon burst, faded and died

    Swansea
Sunderland (home) lost 2-4, oops they let Big Fat Sam score 4!!
Watford (home) won 1-0, we'd softened them up to let them sneak a 1-0 win
Everton (away) won 1-2, *tips hat* good win
    West Brom (away) drew 1-1
Crystal Palace (home) drew 1-1, gave The Ego his first point in 6 games.

This form guide clearly points to a Saints win and another clean sheet (though I do fear the slight tigger hiccup may allow them one goal)

Last meetings at The Liberty have been glorious

    Swansea 0 v 1 Southampton - Sir Rickie Lambert delivers a clinical finish :emoticon-0131-angel

Possible Saints line-up: Your guess is no Big Vic, I know - well done <applause>
Forster, Cedric, Fonte, Van Dijk, Yoshida, Bertrand, Romeu, Clasie, Davis, Mane, Long
    Subs:
Gazza, Targett, Romeu, Pelle, Tadic, JWP and CHARLIE ****ING AUSTIN

Formation (there are no choices this game): Will he go for the negative and defensive 5-3-2 that keeps clean sheets and wins games or the 4-something-something that picks F**ing useless selections and a S** team? Will he play Charlie? Will he play Pelle?
    Song to sing:

"Bring me my bow of burning Gold
Bring me my arrows of Charlie's fire..." Just for our Welsh Saints :)

You wrote "....Saints travel all the way to the end of the country...."

It is not for me to nit-pick but it is not the end of the country, it is even further for it is half way into another country altogether.

I too like the Swans. I have to.

I nearly wrote another country, but didn't want to offend our Welsh Saints :)

I got scared yesterday.....had to rush out holding a 4 leaf clover and my collar, looking for a black cat to kick. Have to admire the courage of tigger....risking a lifetime of scorn. I vote he is allowed to do the one after we next lose (which ain't going to happen in our lifetime <diva>). Not that we are superstitious or anything:bandit:

I'm quite happy for you to call Wales another country, cos it certainly ain't England ;) Just had some bad news that I won't be going to this game now :emoticon-0106-cryin:emoticon-0106-cryin:emoticon-0106-cryin My one and only chance to see the Saints taken from me :emoticon-0153-broke

Anyway, I think it'll be as close as usual at the Liberty, 0-1 to us, Austin to score.

Your prediction in unnecessarily negative. Forter to concede a goal? I'd like a bit of what you're having.

So if we lose (washes mouth out with soap) it is your fault for not supporting Saints and if we win, you will never be allowed to go again. Them's the rules.

We could really do with backing up our win against West Ham here. I'm going for a 0-2 win though presumably we're going to conceed eventually. The teams around us have favourable fixtures that you would expect them to win so best that we win too.

Wales is not another country, it's a principality within our common country. In fact historically no one is more British than the Welsh.

I hate losing to the Welsh (the Scots too, but when do they ever beat us?). Let's not start now.

'Wales is not a Principality. Although we are joined with England by land, and we are part of Great Britain, Wales is a country in its own right'
    http://www.wales.com/about-wales/frequently-asked-questions#Question_11

Thought I put this in here before you upset too many of our Welsh fans and all the visiting Swansea supporters. :emoticon-0141-whew:
