Well, this group of players proved me wrong again, when it went to 2-0 down I said we are in for a hammering, and low and behold they fight back an get the draw. Great credit to Nigel and the team for getting something from the game, He realised the 352 was not working and changed it to get the desired reaction. P.S. From the reactions I have seen about the game Henriksen has already one foot in France. Also, sounds as if McKenzie after maybe being at fault for the first goal, didn't let it affect him and had a decent game after that, also having a hand in both goals.
'We' created a situation where a promising young player, capped by his country at youth level,he felt he had a better chance elsewhere.
Been calling him out for weeks .. he had a purple patch of aroung 3 weeks were he actually did what he is supposed to by actually putting in a challenge but thats a distant memory .. he plays like a fag .. ponces around .. gives us little time and time again yet he is chosen as a captain .. fkn ridiculous
There's no need for that. Statistically, 6-10% of all our players past and present were gay and we've probably had more **** straight players than gay ones.
Statistically, yes. Whether that is factually correct is another matter. Can't think of any offhand that might have been or are though. Not that it makes any difference. Ability is the only thing that matters, whether in football, singing, acting or whatever.
I would beg to differ on that. Application is always more important than ability. It is the worst thing to see a person with great ability to show piss poor application. We all appreciate a player who gives everything much more than someone who fannies about on the pitch showboating. I personally don’t think age, gender, sexual orientation, race or anything else should matter a damn. As long as they are giving 100 % then I will find something to cheer. I certainly didn’t see that in all of yesterday’s players.
Can't disagree with that as far as football goes. Give me a Mally Lord or Billy Wilkinson over some of our current crop anyday.Things like music, acting and so on are different though. Who wants to listen to or watch someone who can't sing or act who are enthusiastic but have no ability? There again, seeing and hearing some of the stuff about nowadays it would appear quite a few do.
If you want to listen to a good voice, Steve Perry has just released his first album in 25 years. His nickname isn't The Voice for no reason. Still got it at 70.
