Barrow looked sharp, fair play. I'm convinced he's going to have a cracking season if given the chance.
We know that a few of these players are standing in for our international players and credit to them they have all done their job, I particular single out Fulton who i hope will get his chance this season.......The first half was a bit scrappy with a few missed chances for both sides but the second half was better but again missed a few chances and fultons header was good but the best goal for me was the long ball to barrow who controlled the ball well and his finish was spot on........I agree with Guildo in that Swindon didn't deserve to lose 3-0......................they deserved to lose 6-3....
Based on those highlights, it could have been a 3 all draw. They certainly were unlucky not to score 1 or 2. Weren't as impressive as we were against Bristol Rovers (worst team ever) but that's because Swindon were much better. Don't know what to take from it really - happy with scoring 3 goals, but felt like the scoreline flattered us.
We won games against the run of play last season, and lost some we shouldn't have. No matter which way you look at it goals in the net is what counts. The win yesterday is a confidence builder. The Wolves game will provide a much sterner test I think.
Confidence builder with half the team missing ......No seriously its good to see these young guys play and i hope we start to use them in the first team this season and not say thank you very much our internationals are back now so we dont need you until cup time.....They deserve a crack at the premiership games during the season as well....
