At last the international break is over...Wooooohooooo

Going to be a hard game, but im hoping we can continue are good run of ground out results. Need to keep getting 3 points as often as possible, so it is the rivals playing catch up.

The good thing is that we have options. Options in defence. Good solid midfield and options upfront

Do We stick with Agger and Skrtel?
Surely after the last game they deserve to keep the shirt, but that will leave the new 18 million pound man on the bench!!!

I'd work him into the team gently, we know and he knows that having spent that much money on him, he's been bought in as one of the main CBs but his transition to regular starter will take time.
I'd not drop Skrtel, he did nothing wrong in his last outing to warrant being dropped.
Hope Sturridge is fit to return so we can pretty much put out the same team that started against United.

I think it maybe too soon to bring Sakho in.

I think Toure will come straight back into the team if fully fit. Whilst Skrtel had a good against Man Utd, Michu is a big, physical, aerial presence and we need Toure's strength to combat this.

Id start with Agger and Skrtel/Toure.

If we get the opportunity we can give Sakho 20 minutes at the end to get a bit of match fitness

this is a game we should be winning and it would be nice to see an assured win rather than another 1-0 nail biter.

if we approach the game with no fear we should win comfortably but swans are a good side no doubt, 1st goal is vital here I think.

I think that mentality is slowly developing. Winning breeds confidence, and 4 straight wins (incl League Cup) has helped us.

I posted on another thread about signing players who have experienced winning leagues will come in handy in boosting the squad mentality.

    Cheeky sod! <laugh>

I'm in Somerset close to the Bristol Channel coast.

Now when I had my own boat it was rarely parked in the UK but when it was it was in The Solent, Dartmouth and Plymouth. But mostly I kept her in France and Spain.

Hate to disappoint you but my 2 favourite sailing hats - one looks like a cap from a Chaucer play and the other has a chicken on the top!!!

I have a feeling Liverpool will win this one.
For me, Swansea are going to shock people this season in that everyone expected them to do well, but I think they will struggle badly.
They are over rated, when you look past their forward line, the rest of their team is distinctly average.
Oddly enough, I think it will be their home games in which they will struggle, because their modus operandi at home will be to attack with gusto.
Any team with a half decent defence will soak it up and slaughter them on the counter, as Man Utd did on opening day.
I think they will perform better away, where they will tighten up. They beat Brom away and were unlucky not to get a point at WHL, but I think they will struggle at home against top 10 sides.
