I mean, it literally says in the legal document that he's pestering them to re-evaluate their decision. But reading doesn't appear to be on ya man here's strong points.
Where the blazes does it say that?! It “literally” says he’s seeking compensation. You should look up the meaning of the word “literally”.
And Bruce had also just confirmed that he’s not in a position to retire yet so it is about money for him. So without a takeover he’s staying. I reckon he has a clause in his contract that if we survive he gets a contract extension. Bet you it’s true!
This is the same Bruce that said definitively that Newcastle would be his last job, so let's all do the maths, shall we?! In my personal opinion, him saying he was hoping for a takeover was as big an indication that there ISN'T one as you'll find! He's 100% in cahoots with Charnley and Ashley, so he's just saying what he's been told to say. "oooo, it's not big Mike's fault, he tried to do his best." Load of ****ing ****s - as I said, if a ball is kicked for 21/22 and it's Ashley owning this club, I'm absolutely ****ing done. Not that I'm particularly invested as it stands, mind! But to think we're going to have no sanctions for the greedy 6, no action against Ashley, no money whatsoever, Bruce in charge, a continued skeleton crew, **** sponsors, zero income, **** facilities and a bunch of players who couldn't give less of a ****. I cannot and will not go through another season of this rancid ****ing mess.
If he "tried his best" he'd sell it for £200m and write off the debt as his own stupidity. That would be his "best". What he seemed to have was an offer for way more than the club was worth and now he knows he'll never, ever get that again he's trying whatever he can to squeeze some pennies from the Premier League. The man wouldn't miss £300m if it disappeared tomorrow, he could raise that in cash from selling a few SD shares. Don't fall into this "he did his best" bollocks. Mike's only ever doing his best for Mike.
Don't beat a man down on past actions. Of course we know its only in his interest. As far as I can see he's trying to push the takeover through. I know you don't believe that so.....
I feel your pain and I agree with you. Ashley has tried to sell though to be fair. This once and only time he’s tried and look what’s happened the rug was pulled by the PL. As for Bruce I can’t blame him for wanting more money because I would do the same. Personal feelings aside. He has a right in the respect: it’s the fact that he should be anywhere near it. Im with you without a takeover I don’t think I can commit to the same level of support and getting nothing much back in return. It’s just the stage I’m at in life.Wife kids house car job blah blah blah, football is my escape and when that’s as crap as it’s been for years I need something else.
I like your passion on this. I do. He did try and sell and yes he got his golden ticket but it was taken away from him. He says it’s about the fans getting owners who can take us forward but that’s just a smoke screen. As you say he had the deal of the century and it’s been pulled and he’s not happy. But the means to the end is weirdly the same eventual outcome. For him to get what he wants and had so do we as fans. For once we are actually on the same page. The price is irrelevant to us but it is to him and PIF. I would have thought there may be some potential for negotiation given the world is a different place now. I believe PIF are at the table but want a lower price because the terms are different. He had 350m and he wants that. So he’s effectively pursing the difference between what PIF are now willing to pay and what deal initially agreed. That’s my take on it!
The Claimant seeks: (1) Damages for loss of profit or, alternatively, loss of opportunity. (2) An injunction requiring the Defendant to withdraw the Director Decision and/or to reconsider the same. (3) Interest. (4) Costs. (5) Such further or other relief as the Tribunal considers appropriate
