Brendan has confirmed no injuries other then Matty James but he has started training again. Team sort of picks itself again Schmeichel Ricardo Evans Soyuncu Chilwell Ndidi Tielemans Perez Maddison Barnes Vardy Subs- Ward, Morgan, Justin, Choudhury, Praet, Albrighton, Gray
Same team, don’t adapt for them like we did for Chelsea and Man Utd earlier in the season. We are full of confidence and can take the game to anyone. They have a good striker force but we should be controlling the midfield and cause their defence nightmares
I only get to see us when we’re on the telly, but from the last 3 games we seem solid defensively but more importantly we have a good midfield with lots of options in all positions and we create good chances. With Vardy up front I can see us staying where we are, as long as he doesn’t get injured. With Rodgers at the helm I’d like to think that the players linked to different clubs are going to buy into the team for a while longer yet. They’ll get better and better and who knows what we might achieve, it’s only the filthy lucre that would tempt them and as we’ve seen from Maguires move so far the grass isn’t always greener.
And I have criticised Demarai Gray alot over the last 12 months. Today he changed the game and was superb. Brendan was very clever in leaving him out the squad completely at the start and got the right reaction out of him. Gray has been really good in recent weeks Question is does he stay as the super sub or do we risk going back around in circles by starting him?
I think Rodgers has it right starting Perez and then bringing Gray on. His impact in the last few weeks has been superb. Everyone talks about how creative we are but currently also the best defensive record in the prem. This team is so exciting to watch.
I think Perez starts as the system of swapping him has been making us win but really he’s been poor apart from the Southampton game...
Great stuff ... very few times in my 50 plus years have we been favourites to beat Arsenal and it be fully justified and topped off with an impressive delivery
