Kelechi Iheanacho should return as could but Danny Drinkwater and Vincete Iborra will probably return after the international break. Robert Huth should also be fit to return. So here is what I would go with Schmeichel Simpson Maguire Morgan Fuchs Mahrez James Ndidi Albrighton Okazaki Vardy Subs- Hamer, Huth, Chilwell, King, Gray, Iheanacho, Slimani
Agree but with Fuchs also covering CB, I'd be tempted to replace Huth on the bench with Amartey who can cover RB, CB and CM
Shakey has said Vicente Iborra and Robert Huth will miss saturday. Kelechi Iheanacho and Harry Maguire are being monitored Danny Drinkwater, Wes Morgan, Jamie Vardy and Nampalys Mendy have all trained as normal
Would love to see us line up like this (we won't mind - Proud probably has it right) Schmeichel Simpson Maguire Morgan Fuchs Mahrez James Ndidi Gray Iheanacho Vardy
Iheanacho wont start for a few weeks yet. He hasnt had a proper pre season and his injuries have stopped his training aswell
Far too attacking a side when are likely to be playing deep and pinging balls up to Vardy. Maybe against the Brightons of the league, but having Mahrez AND Gray on the wings is a bit of a luxury. Ihenachos not likely to put in the graft Okazaki provides either.
Exactly as predicted. No DD on the bench so I presume he's actually off, no way is he actually injured all this time. Maybe the last time we'll see Mahrez
Man Utd had a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside - hoorah for crappy refereeing!* *When it is in our favour
Apparently it was 3mm offside so technically correct. This game does show exactly why we need Drinkwater - we are defending well but cannot get the balls shifted out of defence
*Drinkwater from 2 seasons ago. Drinkwater from last season would lose the ball with every pass and we would be a man short in defense.
Had an air of inevitability about it and no complaints about the result. Would have been nice to have been the first to score against them but equally they could have had more. For someone who gets a bit of stick thought Simpson did well. Maguire again outstanding. Half way through the tough opening six and results going as we thought so far.
Just got back from the game. Thought we were on the back foot for a majority of the game, but thought Schmeichel, Simpson,Maguire and Ndidi did well. Morgan had a better game also, but I was a bit disappointed in Matty James.
I think we all accept given our fixtures we arent going to have the best of starts but so far there has been alot of positives but alot of work needs doing still Once the window is closed and the speculation stops it will be alot easier for Shakey and the players to focus
DD wouldn't make a difference. He picks up the ball so bloody deep sometimes he's almost next to Schmeichel
