Of course our Marvin is in their, do you agree with the remaining players? http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/544826424?-276
As with all things football, it's purely an individuals opinion. At this level, I feel that the criteria should include how much the person would be missed by their team if they were injured/suspended/transferred. With that in mind, Mapps should be there. I must agree with one of the comments on there that said that it is heavily weighted in favour of attacking players.
Definitely agree Barry, Mapps has been outstanding this season, but the lower the profile, the more chance we have of keeping him..
Not a fan of top 10s, both because of the attacking bias, and because they're inevitably weighted towards the big clubs and ex-PL players, with the occasional token recognition for England U21 or home nations internationals. A "most important XI" would be a far better measure, and as has been said above, Mapps would be on that list.
To get in this list mariapa would have to be in the top 2 center backs in the division imo hes nowhere near that level, yes hes good and his pace enables him to recover well but there are other center backs in the division id swap him for.
All credit to Marvin for making number 2 in the list, he has done it almost single handedly from a team backing him up perspective. Last year Danny would have walked it but the team was behind him. And why no Billy Sharp?
