Hoddle, for me the real six pointer is against Sunderland in a couple of weeks, yesterday's wasn't as they were still clear.
I hear you, DGC. My view is that when confidence is as low as it clearly is in that Chelsea team, and you are in the bottom-half of the table, a loss to any team below you is a 6-pointer. The Sunderland match is going to be real nervy for you.
Lucky you, mate! Joking aside, after the Bournemouth game, no one can doubt, now, that Chelsea are in real danger of being dragged into a relegation battle. I wonder what odds you would have got on that from Paddy Power, at the start of the Summer!
In my opinion, we actually played well for most of the game yesterday and in the first part of the second half we dominated. I was in the East Stand and heard a bit of booing at half time and some very angry comments at full-time. Like others have said, we're capable - with luck - of winning the European Cup and, at the same time, being relegated from the Premiership. We can't afford slip ups in the next two Premiership games at Stamford Bridge against Sunderland then Watford or we may well find ourselves in the relegation zone - for the first time in 25+ years??
Blueman, I was DawnJayChickasaw on the old BBC606 and was mocked, jeered, insulted, and vilified badly when I predicted that Chelsea would have a relegation battle soon. One young Oxford graduate said he saw no evidence of a relegation battle but as I've seen Chelsea relegated before I felt it was time it happened again. I was called a WUM by Chelsea supporters, laughed at by Arsenal supporters and even my fellow Spurs supporters mocked. I said "Chelsea, your day is done." JM coming back delayed my prediction by 2 years. If there are any posters here who remember it be honest and say so. Also too many coaches and your luck would have to run out sooner or later made me make the prediction.
if i was a Chelsea fan id be struggling to cheer the players on if i all of a sudden see an improvement in performances. total lack of respect for the shirt, no pride, over paid cretins. on the other hand if they are still ****, Jose was right, these overpaid mugs want out and betrayed him and therefore the club. i hope the Chelsea fans have scruples.
I'll be at the game tomorrow. Cheering the players on. Nothing to do with scruples mate. It's being a supporter.
I understand that line of argument..your supporting the club. I would be struggling to praise the players though. This saga has just exposed them for the arseholes we all suspected some of them were. All wumming aside with regards to Mourinho, i think he is a ****ing legend and id be fuming. I think he had earnt the right to be backed in his one bad season.
