Nobody wanted Jose to stay more than me. You're right, he is a legend. The thing is that most managerial sackings are down to player power unfortunately, which is why things usually improve when the new manager arrives. Apart from the big name manager involved this time, this event is common in football today. Sad though that is.
A bad season would be 5-8 for a club of our means. Being 16th is unacceptable at this stage of the season and very little sign of improvement. If anything, his relationship with the players is getting worse. Don't get me wrong, I didn't want him gone but I can see why it's happened. Problem we have now is that we wont make top 4 so how are we going to attract a top manager like Pep or Simeone?
I have to say Chelsea deserve everything they got this season. The arrogance of the free spending chavs was getting unbearable. You won't find a more plastic fan based in football and I hope joses sacking puts you into a even deeper mire than you exist in already. Chelsea are just reaping all the **** they have sowed over the last decade. As always a loss for Chelsea is a win for football. I could have told you at the beginning of the season about Joses mental state especially after his loss in the carling cup. This pretty much sent him into a spiralling depression he was never able to recover from. In short Wenger destroyed his fragile confidence which he over compensates with brash and controversial comments and behaviour. Jose is a fake which is why he was so well suited to Chelsea and why the plastics adored him so much. If you go down to the championship this season will go down as the greatest comedy since the only fools and horses Christmas special.
Also contrary to popular belief Jose is not a warrior or a fighter. You will be hard pressed to find a more cowardly manager who uses bully tactics against his own staff. Then ****s off when it all gets too much. A genuine 100% pussy
I'm no Chelsea or Jose fan but trying to make out Wenger is responsible for anything other than mediocrity is laughable. With the kind of resources at your disposal you should have actually been challenging them and stopping them winning the league instead of rolling over and letting the Chavs tickle your belly for the last decade. You could then come on here and spout off with some credibility.
Wenger went through several years of limited transfer funds and having to sell his best player every summer. I'll never understand why that is so often ignored/overlooked.
Why simeone? If anything i want the total opposite to jose, not jose light!! lets have attacking, high tempo football, with young player everywhere! Pardew or conte for me mate. All these "high profile appointments" get us nowhere imo, lets just go for a GOOD manager, who does what we want him to do!
I really think Mark Hughes is ready now, think i'm repeating myself! Zola or clarke as number 2..... dream team for me.
i'm actually writing a thread about this very topic mate, will be up soon. I agree with your line of thinking 100%!
