I haven't a religious bone in my body, but I don't need one to appreciate what these guys could do. The brilliant, Five Blind Boys of Mississippi.
This is 7 short "full" pieces of a dark comedy that gathered 23 awards globally. I'll post the first episode and see if YouTube will let it roll into the next ep, if not I'll post them one at a time. Ep 1.
No CGI bullshit, no slick camera angles and no background music to flesh out a scene. Just pure, brilliant acting from two titans of the stage and screen. I love Poitier, but Steiger's In the Heat Of The Night performance was outstanding. He won an Oscar for the role. It's a shame they couldn't hand out two awards. Poitier deserved one as well.
Gee whiz, Cyc. that was a lot of work for you. Tks vm, and for the above kind words too. Will start off with the first one, "Bruce", and work my way through. Lots of entertainment there!
The Botticelli Orchestra - "Grande Grande Grande": (Put this up mainly for the accompanying video clip; some really gorgeous gals in it!)
The legendary Leon Russell and the man Eric Clapton called the Master, John Mayer. Mayer's guitar sends chills up my spine. Brilliant stuff.
