Maybe we just used up our luck in the last test?

Still expecting a collapse but good to see Burns and Root sticking by it .

We need another Ben Stokes master class !

Both teams might as well start with 2 wickets down for the last test ..

    Aussies only 2 wickets away.

    Need a quick rain shower!

Would it be unsporting for Jack Leach to clean his glasses after every ball? :emoticon-0103-cool:

Well he could annoy them even more!

Just think if we managed to pull this draw off and win at the Oval!

That really would hurt the Aussies.

I wonder what the results would have been if we had taken Smiths scores away.
He is a class act and pleasure to watch but I somehow think we should just plug away bowling the channel and the odd one at the stumps as he nearly always moves over to his off side, so bowling at his stumps would either get him or stop him moving to off.
But then he would only clip it to leg.....for 4.

Another 50 for Root but no century again.

His conversation rate to turn 50s into 100s must be awful !

I think Glenn Mcgrath would get him every time.

    Taken from the BBC website:

Jack Leach can pack his bags for the winter tour - as batting coach.

Same old story... can't get Smith out and we've let Labuschagne get another score. I think it's psychological now!

Well this is our chance to build a solid lead thanks to Archer and co but their bowlers will come out firing .

What a glorious sight. A full house, a clear sky and England just about on top for the moment. Bat through the day and we could be in a winning position.
