Its a horseshit line many anti Newcastle fans throw out. Usually once they realise they can't name a single one, they blurt out:

Jon Dahl Tomasson (was ****e and not cut out for English football)
James Milner (was sold by Ashley)
Hugo Viana (just never really made it under Robson)

Hand on heart, I can't think of a single young player chased away. I mean you can blame KK for scrapping the reserves which led to Carrick leaving. Most young talents have simply been sold...Carroll, Milner, Jenas (unless we caused the goldfish bowl), Forster.

I honestly can't think of any.

Thauvin recently and let's not forget that they got Bobby Robson the sack as a side note.

They were desperate to get rid of Perez this season and next season it'll be almiron if he struggles..... they are the worst fans ever

 

Would hardly call any of them "young talent",correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Milner leave twice?When young talent was mentioned I thought it was players from the youth ranks that you meant.If anyone got chased it wasn't the fans doing rather managers didn't fancy them imho

 

They certainly went on to bigger and better things and the fans always get on someone's back from day 1 if they can.

 

BTW In Milner's case he handed in a transfer request nothing to do with fans,if memory serves well liked by everyone.

 

There were large numbers banging on about him having no end product and running into blind allies I remember it specifically mate.

 

Yep but to be honest all of those named by the captain are complete horseshit. Which leads me to believe he is baiting.

 

You can’t be that daft mate.

All fans of all clubs like some players, dislike others. I can’t think of a single one who has been disliked enough to influence their desire to stay.

Milner wanted out. Quite rightly too after how he was treated. KK sold him believing he was getting Schweinstiger. Also in a previous window he got down to O’Neills office only to be told we had pulled the plug at the last minute. We pissed the lad about.

Tomasson wasn’t cut out.

Jenas didn’t like goldfish bowl, but if we are honest spurs were on way up, we were going other way, he was smart really.

Thauvin - now that’s just silly. The lad turned us down 3 times, he didn’t want to be here but we persisted till he came and got homesick. Never seen again.

Our fans are great with giving support. There are a few groans when a pass is misplaced but if you’re good enough and have the cojones, you’ll strap on your big boy pants and enjoy it.

 

How can you be wrong that many times in so few paragraphs.
