I thought the same myself. He's always been one of those trainers that lets his horses race against each other rather than keep them apart and doesn't do much at home with them. Had a tenner yesterday on mixed acca at 12/1 Burnley Order of St George Ribchester Vazirabad
I loved O'Brien's typically disingenuous explanation of the result - that the two horses work together every day and are friends, and Winter decided to let his mate win this time. Laughable & annoying.
Stephens came in at 33/1, invested some of that on the Nadal match, 3-0 was 4/6, exactly 3 sets played was 8/11, bookies are stupid at times
Our PR team are rather busy at present after Olly Groom posted this pearl of wisdom on the official cafc twitter account
I won a few quid over the weekend and have a strong fancy this week @Talal El @AllHellLetLoose I have had £17.50 at 14/1 on Craig Shakespeare to be next in the Sack Race. Ridiculous odds - he is under massive pressure from Leicester's Thai owners having made a dog's dinner of the job
Liverpool are a great price to beat Leicester tonight - Evens Had them in a double with WI to beat England 21/10
A mixed night on the Champions League front. Main bets were on Anderlecht - once again the people of Belgium proved to be utter w*nkers when it comes to football. All was looking lost at 9.25pm until my over 2.5 goals treble miraculously copped - Man Utd Celtic Chelsea Last min goals in two games @AllHellLetLoose @Talal El Enable 10/11 for Sunday’s Arc - it is what is known in the trade as a “steering job”
Well done Royston, a win is a win Talking about winners... Uae King @3/1 in the Jockey Club Rose Bowl (4:20 Newmarket)
I will have a look mate. Winners make dinners. What do you fancy in the Arc ? My only worry is the little Italian twit getting boxed in from the draw...
Arc is famous for a big charge at first then a pedestrian middle with a fast finish...... Enable will be in first three after 2F then go to the front and take the legs out of the rest of the field... only question will be can any of the older horses stay with her?..... I doubt it.
Agreed, looking through the field, what can beat her with that turn of foot - IF she is in position. Ulysses looks the main danger, but already been beaten out of sight by the filly before. The rest are plodders - maybe O'Brien's 10 runners in the race will lead to some argy bargy P.S: If you get a low draw in the Arc it is essential you break quickly, else you are basically f•cked behind a wall of horses. Dettori won't fall for that, will he
18 runners declared. Think the filly will win but not worth taking 8/11. Plenty of top class horses taking her on, we all know these big tactical races can spring shocks! A month ago I had a bit on Satono Diamond before he then flopped on trials day and now drifted big in price. Was hoping the race would cut up a bit but hasn't happened.
