The big question was; "Can Southampton mix it with the big boys?" With each attempt we have improved. Kudos to the management team. 1: Man City (home) - Comfortably defeated. 3 goals conceded (5/10) 2: Arsenal (away) - Narrowly but deservedly beaten. 1 goal conceded (6/10) 3: Man Utd (home) - Dominated and undeservedly beaten. 2 goals conceded (7/10) 4: Chelsea (home) - Very solid and deserved point. 1 goal conceded (8/10) 5: Arsenal (home) - Excellent performance and comfortable win. 0 goals conceded (9/10) 6: Man Utd (away) - Tactical masterclass away from home. 0 goals conceded (9.5/10) 7: Chelsea (away) - ???
Now Spurs remain the only team we have yet to take a point from since we came up. And Burnley, of course - but give us at least a second shot at that. And before this recent run, we had only failed to beat Arsenal, Man U, and Spurs.
That's unbelievable, really. Spurs only really outplayed us once, the first game we played them after the promotion. Other 4 games we were at least equal.
Chelsea and City have lost a few points this season, so don't see it as impossible for us to beat them. It is also hard to predict where you might lose points...for example, against Burnley and Villa.
I wouldnt predict us to lose any game this season. We wont but we could win them all. Proved that yesterday.
