Good Morning Everyone Oh what a night, Late September in 17 What a very special time for Leeds I'll remember What a night..... Let's not get carried away though, the season is young, and we have a lot of work to do. Lets start off with the negatives : i) We couldn't win a header in the first half ii) Should Lonegan have saved either goal? iii) We had few answers when Taylor attacked iv) This - Right - the positives : i) How great is shaughnessy! ii) Penalty takers - wow iii) For large periods of the game we at least match our rivals. iv) 9 changes, and we were capable of this performance
Morning all. All good this morning. We wondered about the quality of our squad, we got the answer last night. I always think penalty shoot outs demonstrate players quality and nerve, ours were superb, all unstoppable. Now let’s get back to the real business on hand Saturday
Be interested to see the team selection for Ipswich as some from last night proved themselves. Klich was outstanding after a quiet start, and some still need more game time & education. Sacko did well and good to see him back but needs more end product. Viera was back at it and reliable, Cibicki needs game time, Grot needs to learn to use his bulk. Dallas was reliable as he has been so far this season. Lonners played great and saved us in normal time. 7 or 8 from last night were good enough for our first 11 so it shows we have depth now. Like to hear what the EFL have to say about the police telling refs which end to use
Don't think anyone can fault Lonegan. Not much match time and I think he performed well. As i said yesterday, not keen on Bothwick or Grot, would happily send Grot on loan and never play Borthwick again. Cibicki looked promising when he was in the game, Viera and sacko looked good also. For 9 changed I think we played well, should have had the win when 2-1 up, i think we just panicked, but we got the win eventually!
Morning Doc, Ipswich is always a test, and like you I'm thinking who do we start with. Suppose a lot of depends on whether Cooper, Pennington and Jansson (our first choice centre backs) are fit. Saying that Shaughnessy is immense.
Morning Stephen, Sacko had a good game, was lucky a few times with double rickashays; but you make your own luck.
It didn't take long for the rose tinteds to go back on did it! Saying that Shaughnessy is immense is complete cobblers at the minute. He gets caught on the wrong side too often and is constantly rugby tackling the opposition as a result. He is a work in progress and may indeed come good but lets not be blowing smoke up his arse just yet.
If Pontus is out then I think Cooper & Shaughnesy/Pennington take the shirts. pennington will need to be fully fit and if he is then he takes the shirt as he is the senior player, brought in to partner Pontus. That was the idea but after a great start he gets injured and luckily we see Coops play out of skin & the young kid play very well in all but 1 game. Tommy has tough choices to make, but Pennington for me (if fully fit)
So which lowly pond life could you be referencing I wonder - call it a Sh!t or a Snake or ............. A Wallie
Evening So the cops have a need to protect public safety, so playing at the deserted end was safe. What a good morning game !!! Did anybody hear Noel talking about the three handed burnley supporters ????
You had to be there, basically derogatory comments about Burnley fans and then when the ref made a call in Burnleys favour saying Burnley fans below him were making a 3 handed clap. Then it was the first time he had seen somebody make three derisory hand gestures at the same time - again you had to be there
Morning all. Before critisising Grot I think we should remember he is only 19 he has played at national level for Holland youth teams and he has the physique. Christiansen seems to have the knack of improving players and with advice from Lassoga I think we may soon see a decent player.
