All I keep hearing is supermarket shelves are empty. I think well order online then you silly fookers, had absolutely no problems at all, because it comes straight from the fulfilment centres. The thing was they took the priority away from stores during the lockdown, to deliver to your door, now it's like asking them to reverse that process again. You can't take millions of orders and shift them from one pot, to a different system, then expect easily to shift it back again. Lack of understanding of logistics.
Weird thing with this is, I have come across very few foreign drivers over the years (and as you can imagine i meet many in all the companies i visit). What i have noticed is that since lockdown many of the older lads have kicked it into touch by either taking their pension or an easier job, they are hard to replace because the younguns today all want office work or something that is clean and set times. I really don't think it's anything to do with Brexit as a lot of the EU have the same shortage of drivers even though we are supposed to have sent them back.
Online is OK for some.. **** doing that for food sho, . I'm not a fan of shopping, been just short aldi last 18 months, as its about 500m away. But popped into a store the other day (one of who I work for). Totally different. I won't ever return to aldi
Not been to Aldi since the first lockdown, the "queue" outside was terrible, just loads of people with trolley's ganging up around the entrance and trying to push in when someone came out. Total free for all. Morrison's had a well defined queueing ally along the side of the building with barriers and 2 meter marking tape.
Just read 4 pages of this thread until I’d realised I’d started from the beginning Good read tbf. Who is SAFC83?
No. But rumours are Thailand hope to open next month. May take a while for buffon bj to lift restrictions. So I've saved my hours.. I've only used 36 hours this whole year for holidays and lieu,, I've got so many left... if it goes to plan, I hope to take a month off. Feb, or march
Cheers mate, she's not a child anymore, She's a little lady, a gobby little lady. She's changing all the time
Got two daughters myself, both in 30s now but youngest taken away from me when 10yo (other was older and came back as soon as she hit18) so i know what it's like to miss them. The lad was 15 at the time and told his mam to **** off, always by my side.
Nothing but nothing gets between me and the bairn. I'm at that stage, where I knowing sounds crude and big-headed, **** it, I've done more than most. So I just try to chill, but being a hyper type is impossible I do t want to work 60 hrs a week, but it's just what I do. ****ing kids, ha
Always had contact and didn't want to spoil that so held my ground. Ex moved the youngest to Wales which made things harder but once she got a car things changed a lot. I now have my 3 back in full though the youngest still lives in Wales. They're all married and doing really well. If i kicked off this earth tomorrow i would go happy in knowing they are all settled and safe.
