Having a pint in village pub while my eldest volunteers at football training U8's. Cobbled floor, fire, in house brewed ale, the lot. And no ****ing mask or table service. Place is Friday evening busy. Life is good.
Sounds perfect My favourite pub down here is reopening next week after they had to close due to staff off with Covid. Haven't been able to get booked up there for yonks as it's always booked weeks in advance, but got a lunch date with the missus there on Thursday Same owners have got a pub called the Felin Fach Griffin up near the Brecon Beacons.
I know that pub, vaguely. A very long time since I went, pre kids so must be at least sixteen years. I'm not the only bloke whiling away an hour at the moment!
Those kinda pubs dying out around this way. Up at Foel Goch Monday for a walk , nice pub on the way home, that I forget the name of, decent beer and food, not driving so I'm sure to indulge
Where is Foel Goch? There are still a few gem like pubs about. Not many urban admittedly, but there are a few on the cusp of rural round these ends.
Difficult to be allowed in if you aren’t shagging your sister to those kind of places. Not impossible.
Nah, **** all like that round here. Very affluent, more like keys in the bowl with some of 'em. Can't speak for Foel Goch though.
About 5 miles west of Bala. Problem we find in Mid Wales is, a lot close Monday/Tuesday. So sometimes we have to rely on the hospitality of the EBF in Shropshire.
