Are you going to be watching it when it starts next week, and if so, who are you rooting for ?

I might not watch it but i'll see how Javier Hernandez gets on at Real Madrid.

I should think any fan of football should want to watch the CL. Also being British I always want a British team to win, so I'll pip for Arsenal, and if not them then Liverpool - cue the hatred poured my way on this board.

  5. This year's CL is the pinnacle of football. Much better than last season were none of the trophies mattered <ok>

Be interesting to watch, I won't plan my week round it though. I genuinely have no real interest who wins, got a bit of a soft spot for Dortmund who I doubt have a chance and big admiration for Bayern so one of those two I guess.

I won't watch a single second of Liverpool. Never do, never will.

No point supporting Arsenal as they have zero chance of winning it. Will probably keep an eye on City from the Pl teams more than the rest.

I'm not gonna watch any of the games, it'll be too painful but it'll be interesting to see how Real Madrid do this season after winning it and selling one of their best players to us. they're favourites to win it in my opinion.

The RS are in a very weak group. Should easily get out but will they?

Don't rule out Basel Christian, we know what they're capable of doing.

    Why?

There is no divine right for United to be there. They were **** last season and rightly missed out. I'll watch the CL and enjoy it. <ok>

Basel blow hot and cold. Thery are still a small club. But if the RS cannot get out of this group then they are useless...<ok>

I agree, we should get out of that group and it would be a huge failure on our part if we didn't.

Even in a thread about the Champions League, Matth manages to make every comment about United, a team not even in it!!

But yes, I'll be watching our games with interest ;)

Have been backing Real year on year for a while and they finally delivered last year. Hard to look past them and Bayern again and as no-one has ever retained it, I'll go for Bayern to win it. Fancy us to go the furthest of the English clubs.

I do hope we don't get drawn with any English clubs myself, not the point of playing a European competition.

Saying that, best game I ever went to was the 4-4 draw we had at the quarters stage in 09. Immense game.
