Don’t get me wrong, super happy with our transfer business this year, but aren’t both Freeman and Arriola going to be competing for Connor Roberts’ place?

He hardly ever misses a game and seems pretty motivated to me...

Unless there’s a change in formation I’m not sure they’ll get much game time?

 

Competition for places, building in injury/match bans contingency I see it NS - but difficult to get mns when he’s in great form agreed.

 

It looks as though Freeman is here purely for cover if we have an injury crisis

 

Agreed ..... unless Cooper thinks he can convert him into a striker .....

 

PAUL ARRIOLA ON HIS MOVE TO SWANSEA CITY

"It has been a crazy 24 hours but extremely exciting, I am excited to get this loan deal over the line and cannot wait to get over there, start training and hopefully playing soon.

"I had spoken to Steve Cooper a couple of weeks back and been with the national team for three weeks with Jordan Morris and we were both on the same page that we had the possibility to go and obviously he was able to go before me.

"It was just a waiting game and being with the national team kept my mind busy and today being deadline day thankfully everything was able to fall our way and I am now able to be in a fortunate position to go to Europe and test myself over there which I am really excited about.

"I am really good friends on and off the pitch with Jordan (Morris) and I think it will help both of us to be together over there and we are both really thriving in the system.

"It is great to be part of a club that is fighting for promotion which is extremely special. I need to get over there and get used to the culture and the country and give them everything that I have, this is the type of guy that I am and I will try and fit into any position to help the team."

 

Unless Cooper thinks Connor may well pick up some yellows for his regular dives ?

 

Agreed boys. Bench warmers to Cover injuries/cards. I’d ordinarily like to see them in a run out during the next rd of the cup, however...

 

Serious promotion contenders need a big squad, with games coming thick and fast. The Club are taking things seriously, and should be commended for making a real effort within their financial restrictions.

 

Good window and how often have we've able to say that . Coopers now in control of our destiny what ever it is but as Winnie once quoted "
“GIVE US THE TOOLS AND WE WILL FINISH THE WORK”

 

Why do clubs always leave it till the last minute and chance missing out, not sure what the score is with Ariola, but we were linked to him from early January but done almost after the deadline and he wanted to come. I am guessing with Freeman that we failed elsewhere to get what we wanted and he was a stop gap.

 

Just read this my only issue with his analysis is that I am not sure he knows the quality of players at both Swansea me in the championship

Happy with the window to be fair...we have come a long way from the window where Gylfi was sold off last minute.com
Our squad looks ready now for a final push for the autos....

 

Happy with the window, thought we would have seen Garrick stay and step up this year. Apart from that very good.
