ODI v South Africa cancelled again after some hotel staff positive for Covid. Rest of your in doubt.

 

I was looking forward to the Sunday sport starting with the ODI, still have the rugby, F1 and footy.

The tourists were tested on Saturday after two members of staff from the hotel where they are staying tested positive."

County season starts on 8th April. Hampshire open up away to Leicestershire. Hopefully Abbott will be back for that because Abbott + Leicestershire + April = carnage.

Awful from India. If there is oñe country in Test cricket that I want to see smashed it is Australia, no matter who they play!

Perth has a reputatión of being a pacy but true wicket. If you ask me, India suffer from travél sickness. We have seen them here when facing Broad, Stokes and Anderson. I would fancy New Zealand to wipe the floor with India in New Zealand. Likewise South África. If ever a team is a "Homer" it is India.

 

But, wasn’t the game at the Adelaide oval?

 

Mea culpa! Even so, I still feel it was a shocking performance from India rather than a horrific wicket.

Having said that, they could well have been a complete lack of team harmony. Whether that is anything to do with everything revolving round Kohli, I do not know. If so, maybe India Will play better without him.

 

I agree , it will be interesting to see how they do without him .

FYI , I think the series is gone , but they will play better. As a team .

 

The test guys could barely ask for a better skilled batting consultant than Kallis. Hell, he wouldn't be half as a bowling or fielding consultant either.

I doubt his appointment will turn into something permanent, because that would require him to spend huge periods away from SA. But if the SL series goes well, I wouldn't mind it becoming semi-permanent, where maybe he joins us on away tours to help give real insight into how to play in different conditions etc.

For me, he's the greatest cricketer of my era.

Moeen Ali tested positive for Covid in Sri Lanka and is isolating. Woakes is as well because he was deemed a close contact. They were all Covid-free when tested on arrival.

 

I'm concerned about the accuracy of the tests. In instrumentation systems on process plant a 2 out of 3 voting system is used for critical measurements.
