I'm glad we got it done tonight. There probably would have been a window tomorrow to get the runs but would have been a bit tense if there was no play before lunch.

Well I never saw us winning by the end of this day at the start of it...take a bow Keith Barker and Kyle Abbott.

Such a massively important win. Now to dodge the weather again next week, and do likewise against Leicester. With Somerset and Gloucs playing each other, we should return to the top two if we do win that.

Well done Hampshire! I hope we can manage a couple more bonus points tomorrow to go with the one we have, our game is a certain draw now.

I'm not sure there will any more play at Taunton so it could be only 5 points each for Somerset and Surrey.

Oh yeah, thought 5 sounded too low. Still, 9 points isn't a great return for either side.

One round further into the season (maybe two) and Surrey would probably be desperate enough to try and set something up tomorrow (assuming the weather even allowed). But as it is, yes, a draw tomorrow seems certain.

Well done Hampshire on winning but you have to admit, Middlesex are abysmal. In 4 innings, they have been blown away in 2, come up short in a 3rd and only really found something in the second innings at the Rose Bowl. And the consistency for abysmality is there as Somerset ripped throught the Middlesex innings twice.. Expect more of the same whoever they play throughtout the summer. I feel Berkshire would have performed better with the bat!!!

Somerset v Surrey abandoned as a draw. No doubt the usual road will have been prepared at Bristol for Thursday’s clash.
