After 14 penalties already this season, they must be working on it in training. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Doesn't always work though - especially when there's a Premiership ref taking charge please log in to view this image
It was ridiculous. 2 Penalties and apparently the team in the top three for disciplinary can concede shed loads of free kicks... Palace Dive FACT.
That figure of 14 I put up did not include the 2 against Hull or the 2 against Stoke in the FA Cup so they've had 18 in total So it's:- 1 v watford H 1 v mboro A 2 v cardiff H 1 v bolton A 2 v blackburn H (1 missed) 3 v ipswich H (1 missed) 2 v bri*hton H 2 v hull H (1 missed) 2 v stoke A (fa cup) (1 missed) 2 v hull H (1 missed) TOTAL - 18 awarded, 13 scored, 5 missed.
Bloody hell, I don't recall this I know we got a good hiding at their place earlier in the year but did they really have three penalties? Plus we've got to play them again in a few weeks... 3 penalties against one club over three years is probably a lot let alone in one season/match... (Though we were utterly hopeless back then so it doesn't surprise me greatly) I have to say that all this anti Palace mud slinging could be a little harsh. I remember when we had DJ Campbell briefly this season he won us plenty of Penalties because of being in the right place and Palace have got some good players in Murray as well as the obvious Zaha and Bolasie who don't need a lot of contact to hit the deck when in full flight.. But I have to agree that 18 Penalties in one season seems extreme.
Of those 18 penalties, 14 were at Selhurst Park. Coincidence much? Sounds very like Manchester United @ Old Trafford.
Palace have been diving all season. The only reason Glenn Murray has scored more then people like Charlie Austin, Matej Vydra, Chris Wood and Tom Ince is because he "falls over" a lot and scores peno's.
