England Vs Tunisia. Wore red. Won. England Vs Panama. Wore red. Won. England Vs Belgium. Wore white. Lost. England Vs Colombia. Wearing red. No goals yet but England getting the most shots. If we win again in red tonight I predict we will reach the semis. We will be in red against Sweden in the QF which means another win. However in the semis we will be "away" against Russia or Croatia who wear red... So we will be in white. Thus we will lose in the semis.
Red's a psychologically strong colour in the human spectrum and Shanks changed Liverpool's strip to red for that reason. I always feel better when England are in red but they pushed it tonight. Never did like that pale blue with the white. Weak as dishwater. That's why we screwed the Euros.
Statistical noise. Look how long it took them to win after getting unlimited money. If they wore red they would have won the first year.
Yes, they played in pale blue for decades and had all that success, unlike United, Liverpool and Arsenal. You really ripped apart all that evidence about colour psychology. Beats me why City bothered spending all that money. Oh. Anyway, moving on to some proper statistical analysis, rather than desperately using one example to eke out some kind of logic, in recent years England have done better in red, being unbeaten since 2010. But taking a larger sample set, always advisable and more likely to produce reliable results than just mumbling about City, the results between red and white since 1966 are much closer, so we needn't be as concerned for tonight, provided they don't go back to that white and pale blue kit. In fact, the rate of losses in red or white is around one in five. We've played five and lost one, so it's Stats 1 Tobes 0.
Juve don't play in pure white and neither do Barcelona. (In fact Barcelona have had significant red on their kit throughout their history). Real Madrid are really the main exception to the rule but do have an unfair advantage with government support over their rivals. My main point about white being a wimpy colour. Look around the world, sure there are exceptions... But you see a lot more top teams with bold looking kits... Red, blue, yellow (red especially). White and grey and wishy-washy light blue rarely are colours of champions. They're not exactly colours that envoke passion. Who are the main white teams in the UK... Spurs? Leeds? Fulham? None of those teams are particularly known for passionate fans. You look around a stadium and see it clad in red it visually hits you. You look around a stadium where everyone is wearing white... It's all rather neutral. It could just be a bunch of engineers after work with no team. Primary colours evoke passion (especially red). White... Well... Doesn't.
Sounds like you've made it up Pretty sure leeds fans are passionate. Which top teams play in Yellow? Anyway i was just throwing in that all these top teams in red is just confirmation bias
See... We played white and lost. I predicted everything correct since the group stages. I knew it. Red we win. White we lose. White is just a sucky football team. colour
Ditch the White, colour of surrender. Go for Red, colour passion and anger Also is it true that every time a KO game is on ITV we lose? Belgium and Croatia on ITV this time round? only games we lose. Petition to ban itv.
