Oh yeah, old Harry Ronaldo. I liked him. Need to get Idah on soon, this isn't working. It's only Finland!
Pukki with the steal deep in IRL territory leads to FIN goal. He almost did it again 2 min later. FIN 1-0 IRL at 71 minutes.
Great interception by Pukki who then crossed it to Jensen via a deflection and his striking partner put it away. Ireland played well but lacked clinical finishing. Idah got on for the last 15 minutes and had one knockdown but little else unfortunately.
To play friendlies when the General population is in lockdown is mental. If any of our players return with Corona 19 or injured I won't be impressed.
Norwich City right-back Max Aarons has pulled out of the England Under-21 squad, following a blow to the head during Saturday’s win over Swansea.
He was down a long time just before the half. In fact, the ref called half-time early because Max was down so long. I wouldn't have been surprised if he had not come back out.
I was thinking the same thing. Apparently, he didn't have concussion, otherwise he wouldn't be allowed back on the pitch.
From the EDP: "A City statement confirmed: “Following the game, Aarons reported signs of concussion and, owing to the FA’s protocols, will now miss England Under-21s’ fixtures against Andorra and Albania.” So, passed the tests at the time, but that's all.
Serbia v Scotland (Thursday) Defender Grant Hanley, recalled after a two-year absence, was also forced to withdraw from the squad.
