Which three teams do you think will drop down to the championship this season? Must admit this is one weird season, and it will probable require more than 36 points to stay up this time round, so check out the form table and give it a shot who you think will be there come final whistle. Form Table: http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/form-guide.html My six teams that I think will be in the mix, teams in bold for the drop: Aston Villa Sunderland Newcastle Norwich Crystal Palace Watford Aston Villa and Sunderland I think are gone, and will be accompanied by either Newcastle or Norwich, I've gone for Norwich, but it could well go down to the last game of the season..........
I think the same three teams are at risk of relegation. As for the "six in the mix", if we don't beat Palace on Saturday, then I think we will be on the list of six and not Palace.
Palace sit bottom of the form table, Pardew is on borrowed time once again, so losing to Palace would be a major setback which I cannot see happening......
Villa Sunderland And any one from Norwich Newcastle Swansea WBA Bournemouth Who i think will go down are in BOLD.
Villa are more or less down already. We are still in the mix at the moment as Dai quite rightly puts us there. Unless we start getting wins from here on in we are still going to be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. And I hope it wont go down to the last game.
Villa Sunderland Norwich We appear to have turned the corner and Newcastle have bought well this window and I see them pulling away comfortably, starting tonight, I expect them to get something out of tonight's game against Everton.
18th: Norwich 19th: Sunderland 20th: Villa Since our loss against Sunderland we have 7 points in 3 games Norwich has 0 points from 3 games Sunderland has 1 point from 3 games Villa has 1 point from 3 games .
I'd agree with this. If I was putting money on it, it would be Villa, Sunderland and Norwich. I think the points required to avoid relegation this season will be 39-40 rather than the 33-35 in the last few seasons, which means we have keep our run of form going and start winning our home matches consistently.
There is only 9 points between us and 7th place. This season is so Topsy turvy that we will see the lowest points total to ever win the premiership and the lowest points total for safety imo.
Looks like we all mostly agree on the three to go down, I accept Taff's concerns regarding ourselves, but I really think we have turned the corner, and with a new experienced manager appointed and Striker, I feel our board have done enough, yes there will be some twists and turns, but teams now know we are out of our bad run, and also know we have a decent striker up front, which will mean they will not be so confident against us............
Martinez done us a massive favour last night, I have always said old brown shoes is a good bloke.....and he gave us 3 points at his place to get us on our way to safety... What a guy...
Form is changeable though. It could all turn on its head come 5pm on Saturday. We are right in the **** if we lose. But if I had to make a guess I'd agree with Phil: Norwich Sunderland Villa I'd be happy with that. Norwich haven't improved enough, I can't stand the Mackems - they've been flirting with relegation for season on season, and although it's sad to see a huge club like Villa go down they've been awful and the owner has done nothing to rectify it. It's hard to believe that Newcastle with their squad can't stay up but although I have a soft spot for them part of me will be unable to resist a wry smile after Shelvey's daft comments if they take the place of the Canaries.
Newcastle after spending £83 Million, looked very poor at the back last night against Everton, are they the new QPR?
I think the Toon could escape the drop, because palace are dropping like a stone, and Pardew who I have never rated since his Charlton days is clueless, would not like Newcastle to go down.....
