Yep, that's just the fine, all done and dusted - Derby are laughing all the way to the bank.. I hope that Wycombe chairman sues the arse off both the EFL and Derby.
I bet they get away with this again.................... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57887861
These restrictions have been imposed to punish offenders. There will be uproar if they get away with it. Its not like they didnt know the rules.
Yep... they now have dispensation to sign players... Only out of contract ones and within salary limits apparently. How the feck do they keep getting away with this?
I can understand the reasons for exercising some discretion because of the stupid EFL "professional standing" rules. They were forced to play youngsters on their books in a cup game during their covid outbreak, and becuase they'd played one game, they were deemed to be of a first team standard and make up the 23 allowed. That's not going to help them that much though, and their transfer embargo continues. They can bring in out of contract players and short term loanees at limited wages and then that's only if they trust Derby to pay them. If they fail to pay everyone on time, they'll get an automatic 3 point deduction for each late payment. With their track record, I can see them finishing the season on minus 24 points..........
They'll probably get some points awarded to them now for a 5 card trick!....... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58423162
How can a charge be removed and then reappear? It's almost as if they didn't want it there when relegation was a threat. Like you say, they'll probably get a points bonus.
Shocking. Ignore the league's requirements, regularly, and yet retain Championship status. Can they afford Jack Wheelchair and the additional medical staff needed to cope with him?
