Yeah but I think when it all went tits up there was a huge number of fans that didn't feel we belonged there and hated us ever since
Long before Ashley, long before Sheppard, long before Michael Owen and the other ****s. 94-96 was probably my favourite team, the couple of years before we signed Shearer, when Ginola and Gillespie would year teams apart on the wings and Ferdinand would head home their crosses, and Beardsley would be doing amazing skills behind Sir Les
One of the lesser players of the Entertainers tbh, only here for just over a year and no complains when he went on to Spurs. He was a stand out player at Norwich, but didn't really up his game when he came here and was with better players.
He was OK, nothing more imo, hence why we sold him to Spurs who were pretty bad at the time. The Entertainers for me were Ginola, Albert, Beardsley, Ferdinand, Gillespie, Watson, Lee, Barton, Pavel etc. Fox doesn't spring to mind.
He was sold cos brought on Gillespie but he was certainly one of the players that got ue up the business end
No, can’t agree. Given the choice of winning the PL playing boring or”normal” football or having the Entertainers back then every single time I would have the Entertainers back.
I didn't say otherwise. What I said in the context of that team, was it would be better if they were called the Winners. You dont have a choice and It has nothing to do with anything since or beforehand.
