Order of acceptability 1 I expect a win. 2 I want us to dish out a proper hammering. 3 I'd hope that Pompey are totally demoralised and don't win another game all season. Let them suffer. **** south coast (SC) football, Saints are all I care about. Hope that's not too tribal.
I wasn't exaggerating when I said the other day that we've had it for decades if we end up losing this. It's really not an option...
I might have to look for another job..... I wonder if a few old faces might turn up here again, I can just about handle Lapras, Meowth and Woops. I think some of the jokers on the PL forum might give it some for a while.
Beating Spurs next Saturday would do it for me. I realise this might have something to do with my having lived in North London since 1982.
Yep me too. Over Bompey already. Took that little time. All it took was a mate on FB banging on how the South Coast was theirs....I said if one win in Southampton in over 50 years means it is yours then they really are as sad as I thought. It was a Premier League team beating a Premier League team over 45 mins (The first half as just a training session)
If the worst happens if think I might have to fill the Gillingham board with questionable content so that @brb bans me from here.
I suspect we have a secret plan for beating them which involves putting all the players' names into a hat and selecting their positions in the same way that Arthur Dent discovered the question to the answer to the meaning of life...
TBF this is how their manager has picked the Pompey team this season according to their 'fans'. I think star signs must come into it for us, "when Romeo is in Aquarius " or some such b0llocks.
So, I decided to do this, using a random number generator and the players we've used at least once this year: GK: Vestergaard DEF: Danso, Bednarek, Djenepo MID: JWP, Stephens, Obafemi, Valery, Bertrand FW: Romeu, Cedric I see nothing wrong with that lineup.
I would pay (more) money to see that. Vestergaard is just Forster anyway, Cedric would be a slightly crap Michael Owen, that back 3 will probably appear at some point the way we're going, Stephens would play his way into the England team after 6 weeks as a midfield destroyer.
I feel like this should be a new cup competition. Each team submits 20 names. You roll d20s to figure out the lineups and positions, and no swapping is allowed save the three subs. The Aggressively Stupid Cup would greatly increase the odds of upsets, and finally answer such burning questions as "would Sadio Mane be a good keeper?"
