Not seen any comments so thought i'd post ( been a while) For those who have not seen we have been drawn away to non-league Marine FC in the 3rd round. As you might imagine it has captured quite a bit of attention. With no disrespect to Marine it is the ideal way to start what we all hope is a successful cup run. The complete draw : https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/55134134 Draw in full Huddersfield Town v Plymouth Argyle Southampton v Shrewsbury Town Chorley v Derby County Marine v Tottenham Hotspur Wolverhampton Wanderers v Crystal Palace Stockport County v West Ham United Oldham Athletic v Bournemouth Manchester United v Watford Stevenage v Swansea Everton v Rotherham Nottingham Forest v Cardiff Arsenal v Newcastle Barnsley v Tranmere Rovers Bristol Rovers v Sheffield United Canvey Island/Boreham Wood v Millwall Blackburn Rovers v Doncaster Stoke City v Leicester Wycombe v Preston Crawley v Leeds Burnley v MK Dons Bristol City v Portsmouth QPR v Fulham Aston Villa v Liverpool Brentford v Middlesbrough Manchester City v Birmingham Luton v Reading Chelsea v Morecambe Exeter v Sheffield Wednesday Norwich v Coventry Blackpool v West Brom Newport County v Brighton Cheltenham v Mansfield
Great draw for Marine best bit was when they said v Tottenham Hotspur, leaders of the Premier League felt good hope we slap ‘em
It's a shame that it is not in front of 50k+ at the new Lane, but should be lucrative for Marine. Don't cock it up
not without fans it isn't, no big payday from a share of the gates & no partisan crowd 2 feet from the pitch.
I hope those who do take the offer remember to do their bit at the club shop, or the very least buy a pint
First things first, can somebody check that the Mayan calendar and make sure nobody forgot to carry the one?
Doubt anyone goes tbh all the Spurs fans were only going to watch the mighty Yids doubt they’ll wanna watch Marine v Hare n Hounds nice thought tho
30 years without a FA Cup Final is pathetic, especially with our previous history in the competition. In that time we have lost 8 semi finals (I think that is correct but please correct me if I am wrong), but at least Mourinho takes every competition seriously, so hopefully that might give us a better chance of breaking that sorry run.

It's not pathetic. But our FA cup record does illustrate how much luck matters. A cup final or semi final is basically a 50:50 chance as the teams involved are likely to be a similar standard. So whether you win or lose is like tossing a coin. We've won 8 out of nine FA cup finals and lost 8 semi finals in a row. By chance we ought to have lost three more of the first nine and won two more since (8 semi finals means four finals means two wins). If that had happened we would have been one cup win worse off but would have won two more recently. How would that be less pathetic?
Are you kidding me? You’re saying that the reason why you’ve not won an FA Cup for 30 years is because of rotten luck or chance? Although I’m not doubting luck plays a part, I’m fairly sure it’s far more nuanced than that. It can’t be all down to chance.
