Not sure whether to laugh or cry over this, from the Arsenal v Spurs match - 6.53pm GMT 82 mins: Walcott is now being strapped to a stretcher, and Arsenal will end this game with 10 men. 83 mins: Clearly not in much pain, Walcott leaves with a smile and a two-finger salute to the Spurs fans â a reminder of the score, rather than an internationally-recognised encouragement to go elsewhere. In response, his stretcher is pelted with rubbish from the stands.
Was it a V for victory two-finger salute (which is fair enough in my opinion) or a f£$k off two-finger salute (which might land him in hot water) Spurs fans really irritate me and them throwing stuff is no surprise, unfortunately...
I suspect Paul Lambert will now have a bit of regret as he tries to pick up a deflated set of young players and having to listen to more booing from Villa fans thus increasing the pressure on him. Ok I know money is all important but surely a good result or two in the cup can build confidence or morale even if it doesn't lead to much. Only have to look at the Bristol City site after today - they are all very happy to have matched a "strong Championship side" and feel much more hopeful for their future. Just think of the reaction from SOME of our own if we'd lost at Rochdale or at home to Stevenage!
Part of the trouble is all teams are so fearful that if the go down they will go into financial ruin - as proved above its costs so much to be relegated. TBH IF Villa come down I'd expect them to be strong enough to go up with a young side... Wigan is maybe a different case as quite frankly a few years ago one season in the Premier league would have been unthinkable - let alone 6/7 and they will be well backed by a true football supporter/not saddled with massive debts. I doubt their fans are quite as upset at going down as maybe a "big team" would be...
Leeds 'fans' react to yesterday's result in typical fashion. Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=who6LvvaqFY&desktop_uri=/watch?v=who6LvvaqFY&app=desktop
Well we're due some revenge against Man City or Blackburn. Got to get past Bristol City first - in some the thought of playing at the Etihad might well motivate the players even more.
They told a great story at the end if the BT Sport coverage tonight. Apparently Bournemouth and Burton fans are old mates - after the game was called off yesterday, Bournemouth fans wanted to raise £800 to pay for the Burton travel costs for the rearranged game. Yesterday they raised £1800! -for me that is what the FA Cup is really about
There are still some good guys out there w_y even if they are becoming harder to find. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...eattie-pays-Accrington-Stanleys-tax-bill.html
Spotted this on Twitter - gave me a laugh.... Defeat to Swansea is the final straw for some Man Utd supporters as they destroy their season tickets
That's not a bad return for failure! I wonder how much better off I would be if I did a crap job everywhere I worked.
If I was a Watford player I'd love to play in the Cup at the Ethiad. I think it should motivate players to get through against BC. That's what I think anyway.
