Off Topic The Gaming Thread - Fifa 13, COD, HALO, SKYRIM...

I love being the underdog in a game.

Yesterday I played as Wigan. I play their sort of packed midfield style. The guy I was against was using Barca, and he was a good player.

I played -

Then their 3 CB's, can't remember their names. So I was playing 3-2-3-2

I love playing quick, passing football. I've practiced it for a while. Quick passing, finding players in space with little aerial passes, and through balls. Confusing my opponents, and not letting them get settled so they can't read where I'm gonna place the next pass.

But It was really difficult vs Barca, as Mascherano and Busquets are beasts at reading the game and intercepting, as well as Pique and Puyol, so my passes, that would have worked against most team, were intercepted quite a bit.

Anyways, it was two passing teams, I wasn't going to let him have the freedom to use Xavi and Ineista's passing quality, but it was hard as their forwards have amazing movement and their off-ball runs were so difficult to track.

Anyways,

It was 2-2 at 90 mins, then I played a lovely 5 way pass that cut through his defence, and just as I squared it to Moses to finish, he quit -.-

rofl. Would have been Barca 2-3 Wigan

What sort of Ultimate team you lads going for next season?

I'm gonna try and build a Italian League/Italian team.

 

Thats what I have this year but im defiantly going for a french Ligue 1 team especially with PSG buying quality players

so what do you think our guys ratings will be on the new fifa, surely after last season we will have a more reasonable set of ratings unlike the start of last season

I'd be interested to see the ratings for Bigi; Curtis Good; Tavernier; Campbell and Ferguson tbh, although I don't know how the game works and whether they exist in it.

Overall ratings mean bollocks. This has been done time and time again.

An 80 isn't automatically gonna be better than a 78.

You can't just make up overally ratings, you need to input all their individual attributes.

No way is Cisse going to be 84. You'd have to give him unrealistic attributes for that. He can have a 90 for finishing, have good positioning and be a great poacher, and still only be an 82.

Cisse is not more technical than Ba, at least not enough to make him 2 ratings higher.

 

Cabaye 85? Tiote 83. Sorry, but no chance.

You need to have a look at what determines overall ratings.

There are some things I'd like to see improved.

Cisse's finishing up to around 89, plus his positioning and reactions improved.

There's no way Colo is going to be an 83. But I'd like to see some things improved on him. I'd like to see him around a 70 for pace. Not that quick, but he's not as slow as Fifa make him. Especially with his agility. Even if his pace isn't touched at all, his agility really needs a look at. He was only a 57 for agility on Fifa 12. Ridiculous.

They've made Colo a strong CB that's good in the air and aggressive, but slow and not very precise. This is exactly the opposite to how he is. He should be about an 80 for agility. His reactions should be around 85/86, plus his interceptions around 84/85. Ball control in the mid 80's. His passing is also really good for a CB. He plays some lovely little short passes, so comfortably when it tight situations.
