my pre-order from gamestation hasn't arrived..... -_- But i have been playing the early release since Saturday.

Demba Ba is a total beast alongside the obvious Tiote!

 

The general release date is the 28th, which is when most people will receive it, you shouldn't be surprised.

Only certain lucky people got it early.

I've got a decent Italian team going. I'm gonna get some packs opened, and hopefully get some coins to buy the likes of Cassano and Di Natale for my team.

 

Fingers crossed it comes tomorrow, as i have the day off work!!!!

I have a EPL squad going at the moment, trying to buy a NUFC team.

I have Tiote, Krul, Saylor and Ba.

Santon is next on my hit list

 

Saylor so under rated on the game again, and Colo is totally not like he is in real life.

They've given Colo no agility or any real skill.

 

Saylor always seems to score those amazing flying headed goals from a powerful run into the box for me. (From a corner kick).

Haven't purchased Colo yet, but i will get him soon.

It seems pace is still the main thing in this game.

 

Saylor isn't strong enough on the game though. Only 79 for strength? Colo is also a 79 for strength. It just proves Fifa don't know what they're doing.

Saylor should be around an 83/84 for strength. Colo should be around a 76/77.

Grand Theft Auto will be out in February. When in Leeds the other day I was in Blockbuster and a Rockstar rep was in, he said it will be out in February.

It will be the biggest selling, fastest selling and greatest game released up to that point.

 

Yep, a game where you go around beating people up, stealing their cars, clubbing people, and spraying graffiti. What an awesome game.

 

Do you like COD?

Its a great game if you have the ability to distinguish between game and real life. No different to watching most TV and Films these days.

 

Not saying it's gonna inspire anyone to do the same, I'm just saying it's a **** game, IMO.

But I don't think those sort of games should only be for older people. When I see 10/11 year olds playing it, it makes me sick. Parents shouldn't be letting their kids play that sort of game.

 

Both GTA and COD are certified 18. Unfortunately, these certificates only apply in the shops and don't stop youngsters playing/viewing these at home.

 

I think GTA are brilliant games, exactly what gaming is about. I like action shooters and that sort of stuff for films and games.

Dont like Simulation games like COD.

On GTA though, they over do the releases at times.

 

It's this argument I hate. People have this attitute towards GTA whenever a new one is released as if those things are what the game is about, like you get some sort of score for the number of innocent people you kill when it's in fact not the case. It's like saying Casino is a film about peoples heads getting squashed in vices.

 

If parenting was good enough games like GTA wouldn't be a problem - children would know them for what they are; entertainment and entertainment only.

Anyway, Douglas is a beast on FUT. Gutted you don't have him

 

GTA is fantastic, I love all games like that with a story line where you get to know the characters. Assasins Creed series is also very good. FIFA 13 not much better than 12 if truth be told.

 

That's like saying Skyrim is a game where you go around stealing people's belongings, shooting people with arrows, stabbing people and robbing their corpses!

Also, on the subject of FIFA 13 - Staylor has just broken his leg 4 games into the season...Fairly realistic!

 

I just bought Fifa 13, hasn't come but I played with a friend who has it. First impression is that there has been buggar all improvement since Fifa 12... Demba and Papiss Cisse still have generic faces, our youngsters still have awful stats (Bigi 60? Pull the other one!), and the Stadium animations look the same. The penalty system is still pathetic.

The only thing different is that there is less of the opposition players randomly crashing into others, and falling into positions as if to make the engagement of fellatio easier...

My irreducible conclusion is that Fifa have tossed a massive two fingers up to those who don't do online gaming... Seriously, in a whole year they've added about two things! They think themselves as image-dependent as "Apple" now, and people just flock because of the name. PES might be coming back to the forefront!

Of course, the fact I got humped has no bearing on my thought-process...

 

Aye, I aint saying GTA isn't fun for some people, I'm just saying the elements of the GTA games aren't what I think make a good game. I've played San Andreas and GTA 4, and thought they got boring very quickly.

Just simply stating I think it's ****e, IMO.

There's much more to Skyrim than that. I played San Andreas and GTA 4 for hours and tried to enjoy them, but there's not much in it for me.

 

Fifa 13 first touch thing hasn't stopped people abusing pace, it's just made the build up play more difficult, therefore it's more likely that people wont try to improve their skill, as the first touch thing is entirely random, so they just fill their side with pace.

Plus long shots and volleys are ridiculously over powered. I'm sick of people lobbing balls over with LB + Y, smashing them first time, scoring and thinking they're amazing. Long shots are annoying as ****.

I personally think Finesse shots were reduced a bit too much. I get why they lowered long finesse shots, from outside the box, but I think Fifa 12 was perfect for when you went 1v1 vs the keeper, and you could finesse it around him. Now it's 5x more difficult to score from hard angles vs the keeper, as touching it around him is harder. You've just gotta touch it, and pray that he takes you down for a pen, as the new touch system makes it impossible to measure the length of your touches.
