My Dad's favourite player. His brother, Uncle George, lived in a terraced house in Filbert St. He could watch the matches from his attic window.
After the family emigrated i grew up in Auckland and we had to wait six weeks for the latest shoot and goal magazine to arrive. There was nothing better than opening a new copy and seeing a Leicester player featured. This was from the early 70's and the number of Worthington pictures on my wall was brilliant. Always a little jealous that he scored that fabulous goal for Bolton and not us. A true showman in a fabulous Bloomfield team.
Cags scores for Turkey in a 3-0 away win in Norway ... they also beat the Dutch in midweek ... good to see him reaching top form as we go into the season finale
Everyone reported back fit and well after the internationals plus Maddison and Ricardo available to take some part, the squad is starting to get back closer to full strength. Pretty excited about this game against Man City given our last two performances. Would be great to get a positive result, which for me includes a draw, to set us up for a run of winnable games.
I hope we don't change our plans too much today. Let's play our game with the same team as last time, with Maddison and Praet on the bench.
Big test of where we are at in our journey later ... really looking forward to it .. Citeh are the barometer in this league COYB
Unsure what the plan was there, to keep the score down? Can’t complain at losing to a team who spend the GDP of an average country each summer but to roll over from the start like that and accept defeat was poor. Just need to hope it won’t affect them into next week.
Bit of a reality check there. They are far and away the best team in the league, too many loose passes and poor touches doesn't help but the Chelsea result took a bit of importance off the game. I think we were looking for a point but it didn't work.
No complaints ... well beaten ... needed Harvey as an out against that lot ... Dust ourselves down ... go again.
Update: Soyuncu has tested positive for Covid and remains in Turkey, in isolation. We are working with the Turkish Federation on his health and return. Hopefully he is asystematic and doesn't have adverse symptoms. Apparently a number of the squad tested positive although a number have returned to their clubs and played today. Bloody internationals
Think Rodgers signaled pre game our plan was to absorb and hit them on the break. Unfortunately they were far too good. never mind, onwards and upwards. What does annoy me is how long this site takes to load lately.
