Enjoy. I did two great years of it and loved it all. Except the IOW games, they took all day. My mission to book the whole of Northumberland continues.
Two days after the event, and it turned out to be a storm in a teacup really. Credit both sets of fans for accepting the situation, and the authorities for keeping their heads. It might have been slightly different with other London clubs (West Ham, Chelsea, Tottenham, Millwall) who have a "reputation and pride" to defend.
Clubs seem to be panicking more these days. There is so much pressure on teams to do well. It doesn't matter which league you are in. Just over a month into the season 3 more clubs have sacked managers today. Port vale and chesterfield bottom of league 2 and struggling Birmingham managed by 'we will finish in the top 6 Redknapp.' Who would want to be a football manager. Not me. Pellegrino, New league, New country, dealt with the VVD situation pretty well, so hopefull he does well. COYR
I kinda like the idea of being sacked, and having a three year deal paid up. Oh, gardening leave, that'll do pig.
Don't think that anyone's posted this - Wales 13th in FIFA ranking, England 15th, NI 20th, Scotland 43rd. Could help Wales with WC play-offs, if they get that far. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41253551
Excellent Tom. Moving up in the refereeing world??? Can't wait for you to make it to the top so we can abuse you give you a cheer.
None of them cos Saints aren't in it. Couldn't care less who wins. I actually struggle to understand how you are interested in such an irrelevance.
Each to their own RJ!! I do not think the competition is an irrelevance at all just because SFC are not in this year's competition. Tell Manchester United fans it was an irrelevance!!!
That's up to Man Utd fans, I'm not one so don't wish them any success or put any importance on their victories until it effects the ONE team that I support. I am completely tribal in my love for Saints, everybody else is just a rival.
Maybe I am not quite as tribal as you RJ but I am tribal in other things, such as a feeling that I am from Hampshire therefore I like all the teams to do well. It is not as if it is an area stuffed with footballing success, so when Bournemouth won promotion to the PL, many a Saints fan would have been happy for them. I am sure each supporter has a different feeling for each of our neighbouring teams. Some absolutely loathe Pompey, others are indifferent and I suspect that is the majority and a few on here such as Channonfodder and Beddy like to see Pompey doing well because in Beddy's case one week it was watching Pompey, the next SFC. I did that in my youth living in the Stubbington area.
Yes, but you know what he means. It Is all the other teams I don't give a toss about. But Cherries, Pompey, perhaps Brighton and occasionally Exeter, Plymouth and Yeovil, I like to see doing well. Just not as well as us.
