Next season will be the fourth in a row that neither Saints nor Pompey changes divisions. That hasn't happened since the 1990s, when Saints had a long spell in the PL while Pompey mucked around in what was then the First Division. Nice they've found a bit of stability after so long.
This will make 9 seasons and counting spent in the bottom two tiers. Could say they've found their level @Sharpe* to confirm.
I enjoyed our time in L1 while we did a reboot. But any more than two would have been thoroughly depressing!
Also, the keeper who just beat them started the majority of their games in the season when they got relegated from League One. Simon Eastwood has done more to keep Pompey down the leagues than anyone save for HMRC.
