Even the f.ucking nutjob Pug owners are getting in on the act

    http://metro.co.uk/2018/02/05/burger-chain-accused-racism-saying-didnt-like-pugs-7289441/
A hip burger chain was accused of ‘racism’ for saying they didn’t like pugs. Solita in Manchester has been flooded with one-star reviews on Facebook and Tripadvisor, after they posted a pet photo competition online. One rat owner, Kayla Ware, wrote: ‘Racist towards my rats. Rude. All they wanted is food.’
Another user, Heather Wilsey, commented: ‘If you’re this quick (and public) to discriminate against certain populations of animals, it can be rightfully ascertained that you probably do likewise with certain populations of human beings. ‘Discrimination of any kind is hurtful and unacceptable, and will only serve to alienate existing potential customers.’

Pugs are deliberately bred with deformed faces so that humans think they look cute, apparently those who think being anti-pug is racist don't care about the welfare of their pets.

The makers of the new film Peter Rabbit have apologised after facing a backlash over their depiction of a character's allergy.
A scene in the film shows a character who suffers a blackberry allergy being pelted with them by a gang of bunnies.
In a joint statement, Sony Pictures and the filmmakers said they "should not have made light" of the issue.

Campaigners condemned the scene and some Twitter users adopted the hashtag #boycottpeterrabbit.
The charity Kids with Food Allergies Foundation
said in a Facebook post "food allergy 'jokes' are harmful to our community".
A petition calling on Sony Pictures to apologise also attracted thousands of signatures.

They are a community now? Or are they speaking for those who don't have allergies in the wider community? Or is this just another example of how snowflake our society is becoming?

A mother has hit out at Asda for selling tops that suggested boys are ‘handsome’, ‘cool’ and ‘diggers of dirt’. The long-sleeved top, which costs £2.50, also described boys as ‘noise makers’ and ‘lots of mischief’. Liann Weir was so offended by what she saw at Asda that she took to Twitter. She said: ‘Really asda… this is pretty poor. What message are we giving our boys?’
‘When they don’t/can’t conform to stereotypes like this their mental health can suffer.’

Last May it was under fire for a jumper with the phrase ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ on the front of it – a slogan still being used by the retailer on another of its tops. One mum said she was ‘gobsmacked and raging’ about the £4 item, which she said was ‘problematic’ and could even encourage youngsters to launch sex attacks.

Ms Weir’s comments were backed by anti-gender stereotyping campaign group ‘Let Toys be Toys’.

Aye, I can just see loads of 8 year old boys wandering about in XXXXXL t-shirts just so they can fit on the right-on message: "Boys will be boys, but so can girls, and boys can be girls and sometimes they're sensitive and sometimes they aren't and sometimes girls can be noisy and sometimes they too can be sensitive. And then there's transsexuals..."

Teacher complains Primark changing room signs are demeaning to women

please log in to view this image

A teacher has called out Primark for demeaning women with a ‘GIRLS’ sign on the female changing rooms. Claire Griffiths, who teaches geography, says that the sign infantilises women, while males are referred to as men. The 28-year-old noticed the phrasing while browsing in the Bolton branch of Primark earlier this week and was outraged. Primark have apologised for any offence caused by the ‘signage error’ and has since rectified it.

A mother says that her three-year-old daughter almost lost her ear and may need plastic surgery after her piercing became infected. Amelia Moloney refused to take the £2.99 gold-plated ladybird studs out for three nights and slept with them in. Ciara, 28, said that she was left screaming in pain when she tried to take the studs out as blood poured out of her right ear. Ciara, from Armagh, Northern Ireland, said: ‘They were given to us as a gift because she loves ladybirds. Usually I take them out at night but she didn’t want me to because they were a present.

When contacted the seller said she was ‘sorry about the girl’s ears’ but had sold many pairs before and had never had a problem.
She said: ‘They are costume jewellery and £2.99 a pair. Would you let your child wear costume jewellery for three days? Especially a child as young as three years?
