They are one of our bogey teams so we probably will. I'm always optimistic though! <ok>

Happy New Year everyone. Let's hope we can start a decent run of form and move back towards those play off places

Ditto - and a positive start would be to extend the loans of Thorne & Bellerin which both end tomorrow...

    Happy Birthday STH!

Can I offer AK a double malt of his choosing from my bar in return for all the caramel lattes over the past year. Stunning picture of that church too but how do you think up all these unpronounsable names!

Managed a few hours on the allotment this morning as a weedy sun was making an effort for a change, back to normal now rain, rain, rain. Nice to get some fresh air tho.

Used my free bus pass for the first time on Monday last to go to Glasgow with memsab who is after an Ebel watch. Fortunately it is a 4 figure sum rather than a 5! 60th birthday present which I and others are chipping in too. Went to a shop called Rox and were taken to this swanky room and offered champs - turned it down as don't like feeling obliged to buy. Offered a 11% discount without me even asking so when we return will get the champs and go for a bigger discount and buy it on a 0% new credit card to spread the cash outflow.

Takk, Scullion. I will take some Talisker 57 North from the secret store.

Happy birthday to you STH, I am in hope that Doncaster Rovers can give you a good present.

Thanks for the idea Scully - the spring chicken that I married has a way to go before she reaches that milestone, but it's always good to have ideas under your belt...

It's been a beautiful day up here - admittedly a bit on the chilly side, but sunshine & no rain - not to be sniffed at at this time of year...

I, too, am looking to spend a 4 figure sum on my wife who reaches a milestone birthday this year. In my case, however, 2 of those 4 figures will be pence.................

Big year ahead here with both wife and marriage reaching significant millstones. Sorry Mme did mean milestones. :emoticon-0111-blush:

With luck I can combine the two and get her that super power drill she has been craving. <laugh>

You really have to wonder about some who post on the WO site. Today's rain only fell on Yeovil because they are a tinpot club. Are some people real?

I'm a bit confused about the signing of Merkel. He's tweeted with him signing the forms/contract but apparently the registration hasn't gone through today even though other ones have, so the question of whether the offices were open has been answered. Even the possible issue of it being a transfer from overseas doesn't apply as one from South America has gone through.

I have arguements with these people sometimes but all they do is act the playgroud bully. You do not agree with me so I will call you names. They must be very sad people who do not mix with others and practice solo sex.

Rain, hail, thunder and now sunshine here. Have a feeling that changeable is the best description of what is coming our way. My suspicion after watching the UK weather forecast is that there might not be too much football for us again on Saturday. :(
