Morning, Dave; morning, all. The car alarm on my car woke me up. Well, that and Seb watching Horrid Henry. Little toad. Not really feeling a burning desire to watch MotD this morning...
Morning all. They threatened us with fog or mist for first thing this morning, and it was thick enough to assume we had both at the same time. Looks as if I am off to bung up some some cracks with my mastic gun today. Mme claims she can feel the breeze coming in between the window and wall. As the walls are stone and not very even I will have to do some sculpture with the mastic. Must remember not to stand back and admire my work from the top of the ladder.
https://www.rt.com/news/403625-nuclear-soviet-officer-died/ Wasn't sure where to comment on this, but here's as good a place as any. It does seem a shame that the death of 'the man who saved the world' back in the 80s should go largely unnoticed by UK media. Unrewarded for probably saving the lives of millions.
Hello everyone. Second day in bed with a stinker of a cold picked up on my travels to the match on Saturday. Took me goodness knows how long to write those construction comments yesterday, can barely look at a screen this morning.
I'm also suffering with a bad cold, definitely man flu. Presently not getting enough sympathy, women just don't understand how serious man flu can be!!
Afternoon all. Sunshine and cloud here in equal measure. Men at work still in village six weeks after they started on a major refurbishing of the largest house here. The owners died and it has been passed on to the son who lives in Paris. Apart from essential repairs I doubt that the elderly couple did anything to upgrade the house for many years. The son and his wife now come from Paris each weekend to see how things are progressing, and while they are away the men do keep at it. You could set your watch by when they go off for lunch.
All ok here, but parts of the east, south west and now central México have taken a battering from mother nature recently.
Good morning from a sunny Jersey. I'm looking to use my laptop less from when I get home from work today, so I can get on with things I've been putting off. I know I'm not a frequent poster anyway, but is there a way of adjusting my settings so that certain threads don't appear?
Morning all from a bright and cloudless rural France. I know that I have a moan about my weather when it is too hot, or too cold, too dry, or too wet, but seeing what others experience in different parts of the world should make me grateful that I don't have to contend with such extremes.
