I've no idea why I should. If you know, feel free. I'd suggest you tread carefully though. I've had the Allam side of things explained to me by one-time allies of theirs (twice). As with most things Allam-related, I tend not to take everything that comes from them at face value. They, like most people, have an agenda. It's just their agenda generally appals me. If you disagree with Adam Pearson's place in there then that's up to you. We didn't hold our Hall of Fame to please everyone. I'm assuming that plenty of people - particularly those who'd suffered throughout the worst decade of our existence (the 1990s) - saw someone come into the club, help get the new stadium built (something that was highly unlikely to happen under the previous incumbents), spend money on players, and saw the club through two thrilling promotions, throughout which time he treated the fans with decency and respect. There can be no doubt that the first spell at the club was much more glittering than the second (he regrets coming back for what it's worth), and I don't deny that AP has made mistakes/has made enemies. But I don't need to justify his place in there to you or anyone else.
Perhaps you can tell us what did happen. Rumour at the time was he'd chinned Ehab. I'd say that alone makes him a worthy candidate for the Hall of Fame. An unhealthy hatred would be an undeserved or inappropriate one. I think hating the Allams is entirely deserved and wholly appropriate. I'd also argue that people who have an issue with such a hatred are just straight up wishy-washy.
A self employed consultant who has his contract terminated isn't entitled to any severance pay under normal circumstances and his contract wasn't terminated because of anything he did, it was terminated because Assem though he was too matey with Barmby.
Did this really happen? I didn't think he could go up further in my estimation but if this is true he just has.
I've no idea if it happened or not, but it was the story doing the rounds at the time. It would hardly be a surprise, most people who meet him seem to want to twat him.
If you say so. Sacked for being mates with a manager who was suspended and about to be sacked. Of course it was, how could it be anything else. Thank goodness we have you on here to explain stuff to us.
Enough people think his contribution to Hull City is worthy of a vote for the hall of fame to get him into the top twenty.
Didn't he get the emails of all the premier club members and email them asking them to sponsor fc? Wasn't there summat dodgy about the running of the kiosks too??
I scored a screamer against him for Little Weighton (the kings of football) in a match against the ex Tigers. Some people will say he must have been getting on a bit-but I don’t care. Mind you it might just be a false memory.
Enough people voted for him in the Hull City Southern Supporters Hall of fame poll. Which means a great deal I'm sure. Is he likely to appear in the club's official hall of fame?
